First, let me mention that I am a spa connoisseur...I LOVE the spa, and I frequent spas all the time. My husband loves to get me spa packages for special occassions like Valentine's Day gifts, Christmas gifts, etc., so he bought me a spa package for the Woodhouse Day Spa, as we frequent the Shops at Legacy and we'd seen it previously. My day began with a Volcanic Hot Stone 90 minute massage and it was pretty good; the massage therapist was a little slow in understanding that I don't like hard pressure on my legs and arms, but I do like hard pressure on my back and neck...she seemed intent on using hard pressure all over even after I told her to ease up a little. I then had a light lunch of a chicken salad which was mostly lettuce, hardly any chicken, and then moved on to my facial. I'm not really sure what the esthetician was supposed to be doing, but while waiting for my face mask to harden, she just sat behind me and breathed on me instead of massaging hands, feet, or scalp like so many other facialists do while waiting. So I thought that was a little odd...but okay...so the next treatment was my manicure and pedicure with Buffy who was just a SUPER person and extremely talented. She made my spa day complete and really allowed me to relax in her chair and be pampered. She did a fantastic job. Another odd thing about the spa is the ""quiet room"" where you go to rest between treatments, but it's just not quiet at all! People are constantly coming in and out, and talking loudly to others, and it seems like people can not just sit and relax and be quiet like you're supposed to do in a spa! It might have been nice to have a lobby area for those who want to converse and an actual quiet room for those like me who really are there to relax in peace. Overall, I probably won't be back, except maybe to get my hands/feet done with Buffy again.
Pros: Buffy is a superb manicurist and pedicurist, she will make you relax!
Cons: Noisy, un-organized, only one changing room so you have to wait in the hall, overpriced for quality
