Fast Lunch 3/22/2007

These guys know how to make great food (+ Margarita's) - and in a hurry. Our office is only 5 blocks away which makes for a great place to do business with clients or catch an after work drink. I'll definitely do lunch there again! more

Good margaritas! 3/1/2007

Before I moved to Atlanta, this place was my ultimate favorite for decent food (notice I said decent) and GREAT margaritas. I used to go almost all THEE time. Yes there is a long wait, but guess what? When you go to places that are known for having something good on the menu a lot of people will frequent there to get the goods! I dont' mind waiting because I know when I get my food and margaritas I am going to have a good time. The only bad thing is that I haven't found a place like this in Atlanta. When I come back to Wisconsin for my birthday in March, I will be visiting La Fuentes! Pros: Did I mention the good Margaritas? Cons: Parking, long wait. more

Before my husband left to Iraq we went to eat with the whole family and we just enjoyed it! They had everything for the whole family to pick from. From meat to sea food. And the service was the greatest in Milwaukee. Ever sence that , we have spent my daughters b-day there and also when my husband came back for leave we spent a romantic evening there also. We just love it and have made it our number one restruant for every occasion. Pros: Thumbs up Cons: Everything from parking to paying the great prices more

Big disappointment 10/4/2006

Food doesn't taste like authentic mexican food. I felt like I was eating at Chi chi's. Good atmosphere and bar area. I would not recommend coming here for the food. Find another mexican place. Eat here and I guarantee you will be disappointed. I felt that they were overpriced for what you get compared to other mexican restaurants. Past it's prime 10/8/2004

Loved La Fuente years ago, but is now too big for comfort. Wait often over an hour WITH RESERVATION, by the time you get to your table, you're too loaded to eat. Food isn't what it used to be, taste like reheated leftovers. Nice party place, but not where I want to go to eat anymore. Pros: people watching Cons: , bad food, poor service more

Awesome Place! 6/17/2004

This is my favorite place to eat and enjoy the best and strongest margaritas in Milwaukee. I highly recommend splitting a pitcher of rainbow margaritas with a few good pals. La Fuente has a great outdoor patio to sit on warm summer nights, and it is also a wonderful restaurant to kick off a bachelorette party or other fun filled night. For my bachelorette party, we managed to ring up a tab of 150 dollars for margaritas alone! Thedrinks are a bit pricy, but the inexpensive food makes up for it. Well worth it! more

The BEST!!! 5/20/2004

There are no better Margaritas... in Milwaukee, in Wisconsin, in the US, in the world, seriously! Every other place I have had one since La Fuente has always left me wishing it was a La Fuente Margarita... even in Mexico! It should be rated 10 out of 10 in margaritas and its a travesty that places like TGI Fridays has a higher margarita rating. As for food, some have said it isnt 'great'... I dont know what they are eating. I get the enchillada plate (#15) every time... usually with Shrimp and cheese and onion... and it is PERFECT! The service and staff are fast and friendly. The only way it could get better would be if the prices were more than reasonable... and they ARE! As one person mentioned, you only need two margaritas to REALLY feel it! Pros: Margaritas, Fast/Hot food service, Great food Cons: , parking can be hard, u miss it when away! more

Festive! 4/8/2004

I used to come to this restaurant when it first opened next door to Rudy's Mexican Restuarant. At that time, we had the run of the restauant, it was great then and now even better. A great place to go with a group of people in the summer and sit out on the patio. You will not go wrong here. The shrimp soup is awesome! Pros: High Quality Food, FESTIVE!, Cheap! more

Worth the Trip 2/23/2004

La Fuente is my absolute favorite restaurant. I have been going there for years and I travel about 45 minutes to dine there about once a month. The margaritas are excellent - though don't try to drink more than two! The food and services are top notch! My friends have had many great memories at this restaurant! The Margeritas are graet and abundant, try the red/white/and blue. The food is good the amtesphere is fun and mexican athentic. Many of the workes are of mexican decent and add to the experiance. I took a big group there and had a blast before a night on the town. This is a great meeting place before going out with friends. more

I do not live in Milwaukee anymore... so when I come home I am asked where I would like to eat and it is always La Fuenta. I have never had better mexican food. I have been to other places in Milwaukee and will never go back to them, they are no match to La Fuente!
