I have been a member of many gyms locations in the DFW area. And loved all of them, Gold?s and 24hr. In March of this year I decided to choose one close to my house. When LA Fitness Denton opened up I was so excited. In beginning I heard they had many issues with too of young of staff and things were not organized so I decided to continue going to my Dallas gym. I have to say I am so disappointed that I changed gyms. When you walk in, most of the time there?s no one at the front desk. If there is a person at the desk they hardly ever greet you or smile. The trainers are not friendly at all. Out of all the staff there are only 2 guys that are nice and say hi. The other guys and girls walk around with their noses up. The PT?s don?t even talk to people unless they want to sell you training sessions. I like the gyms layout and the people that working out there however this location needs a total re-staffing from GM, PT to desk staff. However, the cleaning staff is nice and helpful. I'm going to be looking for another gym this year if they don?t change their staff and attitudes. They forget without our memberships they would be opened or have a job. more

I am 31. I have been working out at gyms since I was 16. The equipment here is outstanding. This club is super clean. The fees are very reasonable. HOWEVER, I have never in my life had such a horrible experience than I did last Saturday night. I finished up my workout at 7:40 pm so I could shower and head out before they closed. Well at 745, I had finished showering and heard the 15 minute page over the intercom. I proceeded to grab my clothes and get dressed. Not even 5 minutes later, I heard the 5 minutes until close announcement and this is what really pissed me off... The little worker guy there TURNED OUT ALL THE LIGHTS IN THE LOCKER ROOM!!!!! There were still people showering, there were people shaving, there were men trying to get dressed to leave this place, and you can't even see what the heck you are trying to dress with! VERY UNPROFESSIONAL! I know it was a Saturday night and all, but that was ridiculous! The little kid closing the gym probably had something precious planned for the night, so was trying to kick all of us out of there. This was just the most rude situation I have ever ran into. You don't turn the lights out on PAYING MEMBERS of a gym who are trying their hardest to leave the place. more
