No thrills... 1/18/2009

La Finca is by no means a "Great" mexican food place. The food is often very bland and the fajitas are tough. We have been to the place alot hoping that the food would get better. Last night was the last time we will go. Save your time and money go to El Jarrito. more

Cheap, Not Cheerful 3/8/2007

We've had food from La Finca on a couple occasions. Id never eat in the restaurant if I could help it - its always full of kids screaming or at least that's what we've seen whenever we go in to pick up food. Its cheap but then again you certainly get what you pay for. The food will do if you're really hungry but in Katy there are a lot of places you'd be better off getting food from. Whataburger or Chick-fil-a would be good examples. Last time my husband and I ate there the food was not even worth the cheap price we paid. We'll never eat there again. more

This is one of our favorite local Mexican restaurants. The food is great and the prices are very reasonable. An added bonus - free ice cream machine for dessert! more

The new La Finca is great too! 5/14/2006

We decided to try the brand new La Finca on Westheimer (just past Target). It was fantastic. The chips and salsas were great. The service was fabulous.The kids meal was as big as an adult meal. My husband and I both had the fajitas al carbon - they were fabulous. We had enough to take home for lunch the next day. We even had a $7.00 off coupon so for under $30.00 we fed two kids and two adults for two meals. We'll be going back! more

La Finca Mexican Restaurant 4/15/2006

This Mexican restaurant at the corner of Mason and Highland Knolls in Katy serves your basic Tex-mex fare. You might even miss seeing it since it is hidden away in a strip center. We love going here for a weekend lunch or anytime to get our Mexican food "fix." Kids eat free on most weekdays and they have an ice cream machine for a dessert for the kids. It is a very friendly establishment and prices are about average. They are building a new location closer to us on Westheimer west of Grand Parkway and we can't wait to try it! more

Great TEX-MEX ! 8/10/2005

We have gone to La Finca many times and have never had a bad experience. The place isn't much on looks or atmosphere but the food is wonderful. Their waitstaff are always friendly and efficient. and the restuarant is very clean. Their complimentry chips, salsa and chili con casa was terrific. The menu is traditional mexican dishes and combo plates, all reasonably priced. They have lunch prices till 4 PM daily. Everything we have ever ordered has been served hot, fresh and delicious. I personally recommend having their fried alvacado plate with the tortilla soup...absolutely to die for! Their kids menus is great too. They have free soft serve ice cream for dessert. I highly recommend La Finca. more

Very good! 8/10/2005

If you blink, you might miss this! It's in a little shopping center surrounded by things like a doctor's office and back behind a Blockbuster and Sonic. It has a "family" like atmosphere. The employees are all friendly, the food is very good, and the prices are affordable. You also get free chips and salsa and complimentary ice cream! Don't miss out on this one! more

Good prices 8/6/2005

If you want to get a lot of food and pay very little, here you go. I believe that several nights a week, kids eat free. You would need to call to verify that. The prices can not be beat. Very inexpensive. They have an ice cream machiene for dessert that is free for everyone. The food is ok. Don't expect to be blown away. more
