What a wonderful selection of baked goods! Absolutely the best thing to happen to Maple Shade. I highly recommend the pepperoni bread and the sausage bread - the pecan squares - and the specialty cakes. I purchased a watermelon cake for a BBQ I attended in July '06 and it had rave reviews! A family-based bakery, La Dolce Vita (The Sweet Life) has opened under new ownership in Maple Shade, NJ. The baker and proprietor, Kevin Whitbeck has 15+ years of experience and has his full culinary degree from the prestigious Restaurant School in Philadelphia; specializing in pastry desserts. His signature cake recipes, cheesecakes and specialty breads (pepperoni, sausage and pepper, spinach to name a few) are already a hit with the local population. He has a line of miniature cakes and desserts he makes available to the large senior population in town.
