This is a hidden jewel. Check it out. We went three times in the first week that we discovered this charming spot. Great, well-thought out recipes make this a repeat visit eatery. Lovely decor, yummy food, fresh homemade soups and great prices.

Without a doubt the best Italian food and pizza in the area. I lived in the NY / NJ area all my life and had an Italian restaurant on almost every other corner, La Cucina has by far the most authentic Italian food in the Richmond area. The veal dishes are fantastic and the pizza is Real Italian Pizza Made with the best ingredients. The owner and chef Vito knows his stuff. If you like real Italian food, youll love La Cucina. The atmosphere is very nice and the staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. Check out the homemade cannoli or taramisu.

Spectacular pastas, seafood, veal piccata, pizza and fresh in-house made bread. Fantastic service, a lovely dining atmosphere, and authentic Italian cooking. The chef, Vito, was born in Italy and has been in the restaurant business since he was a kid in NY. He definitely brought his culinary expertise with him to Virginia from the east coast.
