La Crescenta Nursery

They have a very good selection of plants at this nursery. I have shopped here for years, however over the last couple of years I have found customer service declining at an increasing rate. When you are actually able to find someone to ask for help, they are lazy and if what you ask requires actually walking somewhere, they would rather just point in the general direction usually saying something unintelligible in answer to your question. \r \r The last time I came into this nursery I had a large leaf and pictures of a tree I was interested in purchasing. I saw a salesman standing at the entrance of their sales building with his arms folded over his ample stomach. He did not move a toe nor acknowledge my presence as I headed up to speak with him. I approached him with the leaf and pictures asking him if he knew what kind of tree this was. He lazily took the pics from me and condescendingly replied, "Looks like a sycamore to me." Great place, lots of plants though I was looking for a certain type which I didn't find here but I would still recommend the place. Looks like they take good care of the plants and that they'll last. more

I found the selection good, although I am not particularly green-thumbed. The plants I bought from the nursery typically fared well and looked good. I found the prices a little high, but I never felt gouged, plus, they stood by their plants and said if any of them died to bring them back. All in all, pretty good place. more

This garden center has all the plants you can think of. You will find plants in small containers that are affordable and you can also find full grown trees, not so affordable. Still its fun to look and you can always come home with something small. But for some best buys I found the new Target store in Burbank has a great selection.
