Five stars for their service, our server was attentive and Julio came out of the kitchen to introduce himself. We had a quick conversation and he mentioned how honored he felt that local Koreans were coming to try his food. Even said it was his wife's idea to pick a venue on the border so it wouldn't be too much of a drive for their non-hispanic locals.
Another five stars for the fish tacos! The texture on Julio's fish tacos was AMAZING! So crisp, so light, so fluffy... SO GOOD! My mouth's watering just thinking about it while drafting this review. My girlie and I were already craving for our next time... and hope to get there again this week. More fish tacos and Mariscadas in Caribena, the seafood stew complimented the fish tacos well. We licked the bowl clean and made note that we should order an extra serving of rice next time.
Although we both weigh about a buck, we decided to go for a third dish to satiate curiosity... after all, their the house of ceviche. I couldn't man up to try the bloody clams but Peruvian Ceviche (Chapin Ceviche) was better than most I've tried.
Lastly, we had a driver drop us off based on the reviews commenting on limited parking. I have a convertible top mbz so I was reluctant to park too far from the restaurant, I like to have my car in eye view when parked in ""urban"" areas. Lol, anyhow... at 1:30 on a Saturday was plenty of street parking in right front of the restaurant. Will drive next time =) Will bring more friends next time... and plan to order tacos and stew to go next.
