La Cava Restaurant

We've lived in NC for 9 months and found the Mooresville area (so far) to be the Black Hole of fine dining. La Cava has a wonderful wine list, the staff is attentive, and the food was to die for. Easily the best meal we've had since we've been here. Listen carefully to the specials, because they are numerous and worth diverting off the menu for. Fantastic bread, good desserts... we had a nice bottle of cab (over $100, though there are PLENTY of affordable choices) and the bill for 2 of us was about $300. But it was worth every cent and certainly could be done for less. We were just so excited to find a restaurant with creativity and uniqueness we had to splurge. Wonderful. Dim lights and candles, crisp linens and a staff that treats you like you are the only people in the resturant make this setting perfect for a romantic evening.
