if you want the best cuban food by far, this is the spot. really good good food. so much food, all for a few bucks. cooking at its best. theygot the viejito and viejita, cookin away, stirring big ol pots in the back. authentic. the fault here, is the location. blink, you will miss it. and the area is less then desirable. temple is a thru way for l.a.'s finest so i wouldnt worry about safety. the dishes; carne con papas, pollo fricase', and my favorite, the oxtails. delicious. they also have a fried rice dish, with all kinds of goodies, shrimp, pork, etc. which you must try . you will not be disapointed. i suggest going around noon, as they make enough food for the day, and close around 6ish. a must, cafe con leche, the malduros (sweet bananas), media noches and the ensalada de aguacate. the avocado salad.
Pros: good good food, alot of it, inexpensive
Cons: , small, close early
