Delicious homemade pastas, a menu heavy on wild game, baby eels, and under-offered meats like pheasant and dishes like panzanella. I had a delicious homemade papardelle with porcini mushrooms that was perfectly seasoned with soft, meaty, earthy tasty mushrooms. The atmosphere is not elegant, but the restaurant is cute and simple. The focus is on the food, and even on a quiet Monday night, I could tell that the attentiveness to detail had not flagged. I highly recommend this restaurant. It is a sleeper.
Pros: Authentic italian, not red sauce, no reservations necessary
Cons: Uninspired ambience, across from Bed Bath & Beyond
