  • Millions of Americans suffer from chronic, non-healing wounds, which are often a sign of medical conditions that need immediate treatment. Diabetes alone accounts for approximately 600,000 foot wounds every year – without proper treatment, these and other chronic wounds can lead to amputation. Many traumatic wounds, such as burns, lacerations and abrasions, also require advanced wound therapies to fight infection and heal properly. If you have a wound that's not improving, contact us or ask your doctor for the specialized care and state-of-the-art technology available at the Wound Healing Center, a service of Lawrence Memorial Hospital.
Since 2003, the LMH Wound Healing Center has provided a comprehensive, clinically proven wound healing program. Our multidisciplinary team of board-certified physicians, nurses and technologists diagnose and treat many chronic and acute wounds, including:
    • Diabetic foot ulcers
    • Lower leg ulcers
    • Pressure ulcers (bed sores)
    • Bone infection/osteomyelitis
    • Gangrene
    • Burns
    • Radiation burns
    • Post-operation infections
    • Slow or non-healing surgical wounds
    • Brown recluse spider bite wounds
    • Failed or compromised skin/muscle grafts or flaps
    • Wounds lasting more than 30 days or failing to improve with multiple treatments and therapies
You can be treated at LMH Wound Healing Center with or without a doctor's referral – either way, we will keep your primary care provider or specialists informed of additional test results, diagnosis, specialized treatment plan and healing progress.
