a giant scam artist. i worked for this man for 6 weeks and he paid me 20 dollars after spending over 50 hours a week in office.\r when hired i was told i would be given appointments every day you sign a contract that reads that you will get 51 appointments a month and that as long as i did my appointments i would get paid $1600 a month. in the contrac it stated that i did not have o do door to door sales and they would take us to the appointments. None of that happened, i was lucky to get a appointment a day and when there were none,made me and all the other sells people walk the streets in the neighborhoods around going door to door to get our own appointments, as well as cold calling and hitting my family members up to purchase a vacuum, when i did have a showing he sent his brother with me and he stole the sell every time and humiliated me each and every time by constantly belittling me in front of customers and making sure i came off poorly. these people are the scum of the earth if you ask me. more

I was caught off guard and was told by a women that her boss is opening up a new store (there is no such store btw) and that they are offering FREE cleaning. She was very talkative and con her way into my home. She said she would be right back and asked to use our cell phone to call for a cleaning. A kirby guy shows up. I have 2 babies home, trying to feed them, while he is taking up my enitre livingroom the entire NIGHT! R. Hill took advantage and lied about everything. He didn't work for Kirby but he actually works for L. Hill Enterprises. \r \r Long story short we bought a $1300 Kirby. I just sent in a certifed mail canceling. My 3 days will be up in 2 days. I'm praying these people will not give me problems about this b/c I'm sick about all of this! I want to go to the cops! After reading sooooo many stories about Kirby salespeople I'm sick to see that many of them are using the same LIE!\r \r My advice... NEVER LET THEM INTO YOUR HOME! THEY WON'T LEAVE UNTIL THEY SELL YOU ONE! more

The Kirby vacuum itself may be reliable and warrantied, but the company selling them to you door to door is NOT reliable. No matter what you are told, understand that this is not a locally based company. They are based out of Syracuse and have only a couple of employees. The salesman (Sean Richer) gave me two phone numbers to call. His cell-phone says that the caller is unavailable (always) and the other has a receptionist. Although I have spoken to this person 3-4 times, and promised twice that the accessory I requested would be delivered to my house, I have never received it. There is nothing worse than paying over a $1,000 for a vacuum to a company that doesn't stand behind their product. Buyer beware! more

Dear Mr. Hill,\r Anthony and Rob came to my home on the 2/2/10 and I want you to know I was most pleased with their presentation of the Kirby. Rob is going to be very good for your company. He did such a great job explaining everything. Anthony has taught him well. If I ever want to buy a Kirby I would most definatly buy it from Rob or Anthony. At this time we cannot due to me losing my job. Came to my house and sold me a kirby vacuum . I was supposed to get two years of free bags and three years of shampoo but when i called them i was told twice that they were going to put them in the mail. Never got them. Wrote them a letter and still no r esponse. They are not a reliable company Cons: Does not honor contract nor answer phone calls more

A salesperson came to my house. I paid him 1K for a vacuum. Said he would deliver it the next day. Stayed home all day. No delivery. Called office and was connected with sale person. Said he FORGOT. I said forget my order and he PROMISED to return my check the next day. I did not get it and it was CASHED!!! Then I called again, said didn't want to leave check will send check. I sent in the certified letter to cancel contract as required. After the 10 days, they have still not REFUNDED MY MONEY.\r \r DO NOT TRUST THESE PEOPLE ... DOES ANYONE KNOW WHO TO CONTACT THAT COULD FORCE THEM TO RETURN MY MONEY???? more
