Description: Definitely a ""hole-in-the-wall"" kind of place... a very small, mostly dark place with a bar, a pool table or two and about 10 little square tables that seat up to 4. There's a small amount of seating outside, too, with a little 27"" or so mounted TV (old-style), but no one is usually out there when I go. The parking lot has a small entrance, so be careful entering and exiting. Plenty of parking spaces.
Disabled info: Wheelchair accessible, although the double entrance doors are so heavy, you'll need help opening them. 2 disabled parking spaces near the entrance.
GOOD TIMES TRIVIA (dot com):
My mother asked me to join her on Wednesdays for the trivia that they have on Wednesdays and Fridays. It's a hike for me, but I've been out there maybe 5-6 times. The place has is better lit and not as smokey during trivia and the Good Times guys who run it (independent of the bar) have a good sense of humor and treat you well. It doesn't matter if you win or lose because just being with your friends is the real point. It is nice to win, though, because if you're 1st, 2nd, or 3rd place, you get money or a gift certificate to use during your next visit there. I was on the winning team the last time Good Times had a big tournament and we won a huge trophy, which was awesome! I'd recommend having a few friends there with you so that you can fill the time between questions with conversation. The type of people there on trivia nights are mostly brainy, clean-cut, 30-50 year olds, so ""biker bar"" does NOT fit the description on Wednesdays and Fridays, that's for sure! If you're going for trivia, check out goodtimestrivia (dot com) to be sure it's still going on there for the day you want to go because that stuff can change without notice. To be honest, I wouldn't go if they stopped the trivia nights, but then again, I don't usually hang out in bars.
Food/Drinks: Unfortunately, the food isn't very good. The menu doesn't have many items on it to start with, as you might expect from a tiny bar like this and the food they do have it pretty typical bar food; fries with cheese & bacon, slider burgers, wings, sandwiches, etc. I usually stick with the smothered fries because those aren't that bad. I was annoyed about being overcharged because the menu says they cost $3.25, but they charged me $4.25 and won't fix it because the menus 'need to be updated.' My fiance has been trying different sandwiches and burgers each time he goes and he hasn't been impressed with anything there, so far, always saying ""I've had better."" We don't drink alcohol, so we order Coke and it is *always* very watered down to the point that I couldn't even drink it once and sent it back to get something else. I can usually drink it, but don't expect it to be good.
Note: The item in the drinks section of the menu called ""Sex at the bartender's house"" isn't really sex at the bartender's house. I asked. :)
