ok, so it was at a special dinner party for a friend's wedding rehearsal dinner. but, man, they pulled out all the stops for it! several courses (i can't remember how many), all in a beautiful traditional japanese setting, all incredibly delicious. unfortunately, i was pregnant at the time, so my watchdog husband only let me have one piece of sashimi, but it was so delectable. i love the beautiful traditions involved in serving a meal, so i'd love to come back and ESPECIALLY with someone who could explain to me all the awesome customs. more

If you LOVE Miso Butterfish 3/21/2006

My very favorite place for grilled butterfish. The prices are high, but their butterfish is tasty, moist and the cut of the fish is near the body, where the meat is firm. I hope they continue their Mother’s day and Father’s day buffets. Ask what they plan to serve, but they usually serve all you can eat butterfish, sushi, freshly made tempura, oden, char broiled steak, etc. One thing I can never figure out is how the valets always seem to bring your car out to the curb before you get there. more
