It was the first time I ever tried Turkish cuisine it definetly won't be the last !! We started with combo app plate it had six different items on it , it was extremely tasty and fresh. Then we moved on to the kababs they were to die for I had chicken kabab it came with the best red cabbage and salad and to that great rice. What really surprised me most was that the children were having more fun with the belly dancers than the adults. We will most definitly return. Pros: Appetizers, Kababs, And the very best rice ever!!!!!!! Cons: None more

Exotic Getaway 1/28/2010

We recently went to Kybele and LOVED it. The atmosphere was so exotic, we felt like we'd been swept away to another time and place. They have floor seating, hookahs, and even a tented area to complete the mood. The food was fabulous and tasty. Falafel is my favorite, and my husband says the doner is the best around. And the bellydancer was excellent and very friendly. She let the kids come out and dance with her. Dining there was a wonderful experience and the whole family enjoyed a magical evening. Pros: beautiful decorations, wonderful food Cons: parking more

stuffy atmosphere and bland food 8/13/2009

We used to like this place, but this last time we went we were thoroughly disappointed. They seemed to have remodeled a bit, added a bar which makes the seating in the front a bit cramped. The furniture is old and needs replacing. The seating area in the back is too dark in my opinion, you can hardly see the food in front of you and there is no air circulation. The presentation of the food was decent. I was excited to try the eggplant kebab, but had absolutely no flavor or spice..same with the chiken kebab. i don't think we'll be going back. Pros: bakhlava is pretty good Cons: atmosphere is stuffy and dark and food is bland more

Great food and a cozy, comfortable atmosphere. The restraunt is located right on the Square in Marietta making it a great place for a date or an evening out with the girls. Food is fantastic and the waitstaff is polite and professional. more

I have been to this place twice already, it is okay. I just think that Atlanta deserves a real Turkish Restaurant. The food in my opion is below average. Overall its a place to dine, the decor is cheesy and represents nothing of modern turkey. Pros: promt seating, large dining room Cons: Tacky Decor more

A Hidden Paradise! Recommended for all! 11/11/2005

When first approached, it is a small quaint restaurant--but when inside, one is revealed a magical harem where you are the Prince or Princess of the evening! Greeted by the lush canvas star ceiling and cascading majestic grapes, creates a mystical getaway for you and your loved ones. It is one of the most romantic and unique settings. The food was of excellent flavor! I am convinced that no matter what you order, you will be dazzled by the rich flavors and aesthetic display. The atmosphere is reserved, I would not recommend bringing children below the age of four. The entertainment was excellent and the belly dancer even asked me to join her in her dancing! You might have difficulty finding Efes bring a map of Atlanta if you are not familiar with this area. There is no parking, bring some extra cash to park in a parking garage. Pros: Excellent service, Enveloping Atmosphere, Good Value Cons: No Parking, Hard to find more

I had a Turkish Flashback. 8/3/2005

I lived in Turkey for a year and this food reminded what I loved about Turkey. We started with falafels and the hunmus. As most Med people know the Lebanese make the best Falafeles and these were no different; crispy (but not greasy) on the outside and soft, moist and flavorful on the inside. Then the Spicy Adana Kebabs and a Doner with Chicken Tava, and all was fanatastic. The owner is a happy man doing what he loves best; cooking, and my date pointed this out to me. Pros: Food, The Atmosphere, The Owner/Cook Cons: Can be Pricey more

Nothing even close to true Turksih food 8/2/2005

Merhaba my fellow Turks. Dining at Efes was a very dissapointing expereience. Come to find out, the restaurant doesnt prepare any dishes that requires an oven. This eliminates many Turkish dishes. As I sat with the manager, he told me there is no oven and half the items on the online menu isnt even served. I was very dissapointed to have to pay for such a bland dish of Iskendar, beef with no spices, Americanized yogurt and sticky rice. The only thing I found tasty was the water. The only true Turkish feel is the decor. Dont bring your kids, the belly dancer is more like a stripper. How tacky to place dollar bills in a Turkish belly dancers clothing. Pros: Cheap, No crowd (wonder why) Cons: Bad food, No true Turkish taste, Limited Menu more

An evening at Efes will take you non-stop from the Marietta square directly to the warm and healthy lands of the Mediterranean. With a seemingly endless menu of choices there is something for everyone to enjoy at Efes. Enjoy chicken? Beef? Lamb? It's all there. Vegetables? Efes has it all. Great Salads? You can't get better, fresher, crisper, or tastier fresh, healthy food anywhere. Whether you enjoy adventure in your dining experiences or you prefer something that is a little more comfortable and relaxed you will find that Efes will please even the most discriminating tastes day after day after day. I recommend Efes to anyone and everyone. Regardless of your tastes. more

Best Value-Exotic Dining 8/3/2002

This place has fresh salads for when I am feeling vegitarian, and great lamb and chicken when I need a meat filled meal. Great prices for lunch. And if you go for a belly dancing night, you will be taken away to foreign land in Efes exotic dining room. Fresh healthy food for a great price is the biggest draw for me, and why I keep going back. The waiters are friendly, the baklava sweet, all for a great price. Tell them Roger sent you. Pros: Fresh food, Great Atmosphere, inexpensive more

Two words Absolutely Amazing 7/20/2002

From the moment you walk in the door I knew that I was truly in for a treat. There were three choices of place to sit. Under stars, Bistro area in the front or the elegant and yet mysterious Sultans Palace where you are greeted with fine elegant dinning and warm friendly smile from your server and the entertainment of the beautiful belly dancer was truly elegant and beautiful. Not only was the service spectacular, e bite truly placed me into heaven. My first evening satisfied my every desire from relaxation, to elegance and even fed my mind with knowledge from the beautiful antiques. I even learn Turkish. Trust e just one time will leave you breathless and eagerly wanting more. I now go every weekend when I can. All 10s across the board!! So two words absolutely amazing! Pros: Food, Great Service, Great Seating more
