Kurando Restaurant

I've been going to Kurando's since it's opened. I've uprooted and moved to Dallas, TX in 2005 and came to visit family in May of this year. I went to Kurando's and knew immediately that something was very wrong. The Japanese hostess lady was replaced by this Korean lady and I didn't see the usual Sushi chefs at the counter. I decided to give a try and it wasn't good at all, so I left. I couldn't believe it. It was though something/someone had died and I was in mourning. Koreans need to stop making these crappy sushi, because they don't know how to make them. They totally ruined our food! I went to Katsu in San Marcos instead and to my surprise, it was really good and they were Japanese sushi chefs, so from now on, I'm going to frequent there when I come to San Diego. ok.. I've been to many sushi Restaurants all over San Diego North County area.... But most of them have bad quality of fish.... meaning NOT FRESH... yet Kurando in Oceanside have the freshiest fish ever!!! so if you are craving for FRESH, TASTY, & traditional + Fusion Japanese food... check out Kurando Japanese Restaurant in Oceanside... yummy!! Kurando was by far the best sushi bar around for many years. Unfortunately the restaurant was sold to a Korean business group who has been successful at completely ruining a great place. It really breaks my heart. My wife and I had many a great meal there. I hope to find my two favorite sushi chefs Seije and Yoshi at another fine establishment soon. Cons: Sushi is terrible more
