Great Math Exercise for Kids 8/15/2005

Kumon is great for those that are weak in mathmematics. As a student, you will get plenty of homework and receive plenty of help from the tutors at Kumon. Often, there are graders that will grade your papers on the spot as you're learning in class so you can get your homework back before the class is over. Overall, when I took this as a kid, I thought it helped because it trained my mind to think mathematically. I can't credit my abilities entirely to Kumon but taking Kumon definitely helped me in the long run. more

excellent math skill buildnig drills 8/15/2005

if your kid is a dumbass in math, then you should send him here right away. although kumon does not have a traditional classroom setting, it is excellent in drilling math concepts and skills. basically, you go there, sit down and begin a 5 page worksheet in math (based on your diagnostic skill level), and they have roving teachers/mentors that will help you when you raise your hand. after completion, you go to a grader, and you may leave if you complete it 100% with no errors. if you have errors, then you have to go back and correct the problems you made a mistake on. this is a good place for grade school kids to continuously build upon their math skills by reptition and drilling. more

Good after school tutor 8/13/2005

A good place to send your kids to learn better math skills and language skills. Their staff is consisted of qualified individuals that have degrees in math and english. I know kids who have greatly improved their grades after going to Kumon. They can be a little pricey sometimes but if you have the money, it can be worth it! The teachers there are also very nice. more
