Unprofessional, Rude Staff, Arrogant 5/26/2011

Worst doctor experience ever! The receptionist didn't have the courtesy to let me know that there's four bldgs that look the same with no directory. When I finally arrived to the office, the receptionist laughed at me and shared that patients always have the same complaint. My appointment was a 2:45pm, but they had me in the waiting room for over an hour. I was offered water and it never arrived. When I finally met Dr. Kulp, he didn't look at my skin or ask any questions. He prescribed medications based on his general questionnaire. The doctor prescribed two oral medications, two facial lotions and sunscreen (again he never looked at my skin or asked questions). I told him that I was trying to get pregnant and asked about side effects/complications with the oral meds he prescribed; Dr. Kulp suggested that I speak to my fertility doctor. more

Horrible front office/ Dr. Kulp 5/25/2010

My daughter has been seeing Dr. Kulp since Jan. 2010 she has to go once a month to get her Rx. In just 5 month's 2 of the times that we have showed at the scheduled appt. time the office gave us they didn't have us in the system. They also scheduled us one time before she was aloud to get the Rx, which meant we had to drive 25 mins. one way to get another Rx b/c it cannot be called in to a pharmacy. Your average wait time is about an hour (minimum) before you are actually seen by him b/c they overbook for the day. When Dr. Kulp comes in to see you he will not even let you talk. He will just talk over you if you go to say something. My daughter only has 2 months left of seeing him, but I would never recommend him or his front office staff to anyone. They will make you go crazy. more

Don't See This Doctor!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 7/9/2008

This doctor is demented and needs to be kept away from patients. He needs to stop practicing at his advanced age and he certainly needs to stop thinking he can treat people and their skin while behaving like a spoiled two year old, stomping off when someone doesn't listen to him. I am quite happy I objected to his abrupt use of freezing gas. He took no photos, which my previous dermatologists have done, and lept into the threat of serious cancer without cause. Shame on him. I just looked up my Blue Cross claims and found he charged $471 for the 10min office visit in May. Iwrote a complaint to the NC Physicians Licensing Board. Cons: This guy needs to get flushed out of the bushes and told to stop practicing! more

If you care about your health and body - be sure to avoid 5/8/2007

I read a couple of the negative reviews written about Dr. Kulp but decided that I would give him a try (primarily because he was the only dermatologist in town that would see me virtually immediately). His first diagnosis was so alarming that it sent me and my family into shock, the guy might as well have diagnosed me with cancer, upon my second visit, he somehow seemed to have forgotten the original reason that I had come in and seemed so focused on an entirely different problem that I finally ended up storming out of his office. The guy is a senile old quack! Do not go and see him!! Pros: waiting room - freezing cold and music on full blast and I waited approx 1 1/2 hrs more
