Krystie's Dance Academy

I switched my kids to Krystie's Dance Academy this year and have no regrets what so ever. Krystie and her staff provide a warm, positive, family atmosphere where not only do they kids learn AMAZING technique, but they also learn team spirit, camaraderie, sportsmanship, and build friendships. Krystie and her staff care for each and every child. I have watched as my youngest literally blossomed before my eyes in dance this year. My oldest has pushed herself further than ever before and WANTS to push further. The tuition structure is MORE than reasonable and class sizes are very accommodating, with additional instructors in all larger classes. I honestly can't say enough positive feedback and express how appreciative I am personally for the changes I've seen in my children and the manner in which they are taught. I have yet to hear a staff member raise their voice to a child or a parent put down another child. I STRONGLY recommend this studio for all of your dance needs. more

After seeing my friend's kid's dance at recitals and borrrrring compeitions my daughter was finally old enough to dance--what a decision--where to go--then I happened past the Packard Music Hall and saw on the board out front that there was a dance competition there. I took my daughter to watch (to see if she was interested). There was a studio there that was definitly better than the others, not just a little but more like nothing I had ever seen in this area! It was Krysties. I tracked down some of the parents from this studio, who were all very informative and friendly, as were their kids. They won about every award they could have won there. This studio has only been open for 7 years and some of the kids have been there since it opened! They love it-their faces glowed when they talked about this studio. My daughter will be going to Krystie's and I can't wait. more

I just recently went to Krystie's recital and was frankly blown away! I didn't know that there was a studio at this level in the local area. Her dancers are phenomenal! It is also very obvious how much her dancers love her, which is very important to me as a parent. After watching the recital I knew why the other studios say the things they do. They are terrified! The recital made my decision so easy when it came to choosing a studio for my daughter. I want my daughter to be at the best studio! I think the person above is quite uninformed. Krysite currently has a dancer up for a major role on Broadway, she announced it at the recital. The bottom line is if you want a quality dance education from the best studio in town, at a facility second to none, from a good moral person, this is the place for you! Also, since when was it a bad thing to win at competitions? Isn't that the goal? I like a studio that plays for first place not last!! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!! more

Krystie does not teach for the right reasons. It is not even apparent that she enjoys working with children. She does not teach to develop a skill or inspire the art of dance in her students. Instead, she teaches to win awards. Krystie neglects the responsibility of teachers everywhere to nurture the emotional aspect of children. She also exhibits poor sportsmanship and fails to make any positive relationships with other studios. This studio has yet to produce anyone that has gone on to have a successful career as a performer. This is due to the limited training given there. The dancers at Krystie's are trained to do tricks to win awards, but are not given the skills and knowledge necessary to take their dancing to the next level. In the niles/warren area, there is a general negative connotation associated with Krystie's Dance Academy. Pros: high scores Cons: lack of versatility, poor teaching morals, negative attitudes more

I have seen them at many competitions and think that they are incredible. Every dance and dancer I have seen from Krystie's is amazing. They are all very nice as well. more

Education is the key to a great dance teacher;not just a dancer.KRYSTIE DOES NOT have a formal education in the dance field. She is average at best. more
