I hadn't taken professional shots in 15 years. I was very pleasantly surprised by my new photos by Krista Lee. She put me at ease and was able to get great photos out of me. I can't wait to take more pictures and to bring my whole family in this year. She also has great professionals around her. Kelly did my makeup and I was very happy with it! She is great! I absolutely LOVE working with Krista Lee! We just did our engagement session last week and she already has a preview up on her blog, and the whole shoot on zenfolio for us to order at our convenience. Her photojournalistic style is exactly what we wanted. It is the perfect mix of fun, funky, stylish, and artistic. I was referred to Krista by my agent, and I am so happy I went to her. I needed a temporary headshot, and Krista offers an express session, which is very affordable, for just this kind of situation. I spoke to two of her assistants, who were very nice, and Krista herself sent me an email asking if I had preferences to backgrounds, etc., so she could be prepared for my shoot. She emailed me specific directions to her studio also. \r At the shoot, she was very friendly yet professional, and worked extra hard to make sure we got ""the shot"". I understand she has a few makeup artists she uses, and when I go back for my next session, I will probably use someone other than who I had this time. \r All in all, I was very impressed with how our shoot went and would DEFINITELY recommend her to anyone looking for headshots or comp cards! Just with the handful of photos that we've shown friends and family, everyone is SO impressed with the shots that Krista took! We've heard nothing but raves with the feedback. She sent me a few preview shots less than 24 hours after the photo shoot and the entire set was available to look at the next day!\r \r We honestly couldn't be happier with how she captured my pregnancy and my husband and me in general. My Fiance (now Husband!) and I had been dating for 10 years and we started our relationship out on a whirlwind of ""the wedding tour"". So we have always had an idea of the things we wanted across the board. We are very easy going, but such a fun couple as well. We had family and friends coming in from all over here and we needed someone who would be able to handle us! When we sat down with Krista she got everything we were saying and even the things we weren't saying! She and her team did such a FANTASTIC job that on the day of my wedding, they made things just so easy for us! Like I said when we ALL get together we can be a bit rowdy and a handful, quite comical and she handled it so well. Everyone at the wedding commented on how wonderful the photographer and staff was which made my husband and I feel so good. For a few weeks after we were hounded as to when the pictures would be done, and some had even contacted Krista directly( just excited sorry! ) But Krista and her staff were so graceful to everyone! When my photos were available I cried through everyone... What an amazing gift that someone could give to you and allow you to relive that day , those moments and see the moments you didn't. It had been years since I had done headshots in NY & LA... when it was time for me to get new headshots here in Nashville, Krista was very highly recommended... I saw samples of her work & it was gorgeous. Then when I checked the prices on her website, I couldn't believe how affordable the packages are! The talent & professionalism of Krista & her staff made the whole process a pleasure from start to finish. Krista was an absolute joy to work with, and made me feel so comfortable… I knew that would come through in the photos… and it did! She went above & beyond to make sure I got great shots… the shoot was a blast... truly the best I've ever had. =) When I received my photos, Krista & staff had already edited & beautified their favorites, and sorted everything for me. Their choices were terrific... it made it SO much easier for me to narrow my options down to the best shots... which saved me & my agent a lot of time! I wanted to have some photographs of myself taken just for fun, and Mandy (one of Krista's associate photographers) did an AWESOME job. By no means am I the ""model"" type, nor have I ever posed for a magazine, etc., but Mandy took photos of me which looked like they belong on the cover of Vogue! Kelly did an AMAZING job on my hair and makeup- even covered up some pimple hyperpigmentation which I have never been able to hide. I have very long hair and she did two beautiful styles- one long and wavy and one up-do; both were gorgeous. The studio has TONS of choices- different textures and colors of backdrops, and props such as sofas and chairs which can create virtually any look or style. Mandy shot a few outdoors as well. I was clueless at the beginning, but by the end of the photoshoot, Mandy had me posing and feeling like a true model! \r \r I had searched around town for a decent photographer where hair and makeup were offered, and KristaLeePhotography definitely has the best deal for the price, with or without the hair and makeup included. I got a DVD with all the pictures in color and black and white, and for a 2 hour session, there were over 300! Mandy posted a few on the blog immediately, and I nearly fell out of my chair when I saw the photos online- they turned out beautifully!\r \r Mandy is a very talented and skilled professional. She made me feel very comfortable, and she could easily sense exactly what I was looking for. She also had many of her own ideas, and her creativity paid off. There aren't many services these days where one can get a perfect balance of what is desired in one's mind and taking a risk and trusting someone else's professional opinion. In this case, I am truly grateful that something brought me to Mandy at Krista Lee Photography. krista lee & ALL her associates RAWK -- for our first kiddo, we spent reeeeeedeeeculous amounts of money for photos that are ok; but, THEN we found krista lee & what a difference -- with our second kiddo, we love our photos a bezillion times more....now, we LOVE all our photos - they are so much more hip, beautiful, casual and fun (and honestly, doesn't everyone look better 'in motion' than 'posed'!?)...and, best of all, the price was RIGHT! now, we feel like addicts & are planning our next shoot! they can do it all - whether it is a posed moment you want or something more out of the box...their studio is set up to do it all - & absolutely amazing with small children! When looking for a photographer for my wedding I knew I didn't want those outdated photos that it seems like EVERYONE does. I wanted someone who could bring a photojournalistic approach to the day with lots of candid and detail shots. The two largest aspects of the wedding day that I really didn't mind putting a lot of money into was my dress and the photographer. After the wedding is long over photos are so important. We opted to go with Krista's deluxe package which was 9 hours of photography with Krista and an assistant, bridal portrait, engagement pictures and a 600.00 credit to be used towards prints, albums, etc. The photos that Krista took are amazing. They really look like they belong in a magazine and could have been taken at some celebrities wedding. Krista caught so many details and her assistant Margaret captured so many different angles and shots. Krista was so nice to work with and really listened to any suggestions I had. I can't recommend them highly enough. Pros: Photojournalistic wedding photos not your standard cheesy photos Cons: There were a few moments that didn't get captured on film but I realize that is bound to happen! more

Krista did our engagement pictures on Vanderbilt's campus.....the pictures were beautiful. She chose sites that created beautiful backdrops and many candid photos of us that we did not even realize she was photographing. My first experience at this . . . was not sure who to select, but I realized today (when I rec'd my pictures) that I made the right choice! Brooke, Nora, and Krista Lee were all very nice, warm, friendly and responsive. Nora took my pictures and the results far exceeded my expectations (since I do not feel particularly photogenic). I wanted a professional photographer to take a photojournalistic approach to my wedding. I searched high and low and found Krista Lee Photography. I was very impressed with her portfolio and even more impressed with her economical prices. The day came and she was there on time and everywhere I looked she was there. She never put the camera down from the moment she stepped into the chapel. My friends and family at the wedding were complimenting her and the other photographer and they hadn't seen any of her pictures yet. Krista Lee shot my live band recording at the French Quarter Cafe in 2005 and did a phenominal job. When I was shopping for a photographer for the event, she stood out head and shoulders above the others because of her outgoingness and obvious passion for her work. She's professional and genuinely interested in what you want her to capture. At my performance, she got a little bit of everything... me, the band, the audience, the sound guy... I had a TON of pictures to choose from. So many good ones in fact that when I released the live recording as a CD, I had trouble narrowing down which pictures I would use for the package! But besides being a wonderful photographer with a great eye, Krista is full of personality and a positive attitude! She's easy to work with, her prices are extremely reasonable, and the quality of her services is top-notch! I will definately call on her again! Needless to say, we were MORE than impressed with the quality of her work on her online portfolio - be sure to check it out!\r Our photographs were taken outside at Centennial Park in Nashville, and we were so impressed with Krista's friendly, personable nature and her professionalism. We knew what to expect from her portfolio, but when we received our proof sheet in the mail a week later, our jaws dropped! Not only did she make us look like absolute movie stars, the photographs were comparable to any photo shoot you would see in any major magazine out there...she really knows her stuff!\r Our relatives were blown away by the photos - and were all clamoring for copies! Krista is absolutely a gem of a photographer...She took our wedding pictures and my husband and I found her to be nothing but a consummate professional.
