Lousy Service 3/16/2012

I took my Ford Explorer in to Krieger Ford on Morse Rd., because the transmission was slipping. When they called they said I also needed breaks, and wheel bearings. I okayed all the work because I do have grandchildren I tote around They did put in a re-manufactured transmission, and as far as I know new breaks and wheel bearings. BUT when I got the car back, (my hsuband picked the car up) I heard him pull in the driveway. It sounded like they put holes in my exhaust pipes, I heard him coming down the street and until he pulled in the driveway, I did not know it was my car! It wasn't doing that when I took the car in. This is not the first time I took a car there to be fixed only to get it back and need more repairs within a few days to a few weeks. I also feel the transmission is not shifting like it should. I called and they want me to bring the car in again, (they had it a week the first time, I had to get a rental). I'm afraid to take it in, to get the exhaust fixed, because I don't know what might ""break"" down next! more

Go elsewhere for service! 7/29/2011

Go elsewhere for service! After bringing my truck in for several warranty items back in May, it's just been a string of trips back there for items they did not repair correctly or for damages they caused during the repairs. The tail gate seam was splitting so they welded it, it didn't hold (paint touch up in area was also horrible). They had to order a new tailgate and after it was painted, they chip paint of the entire side seam and installed it without repairing. How about reviewing your work??? It took them 3 times to fix it and there is still one spot on the bottom not finished properly. They tore a weather strip while repairing the rusted retaining clip at the door opening and refused to fix it saying it was pre-exisiting (I had photos to say otherwise). The seat cushion repair had to be done twice. They also damaged the plastic trim of the seat side after the second attempt. They FORGED the mileage on the service invoices so that Ford would still cover their second attempts at repairs after the B2B ended. If they will lie to Ford, it's easy to see that they would lie to you which they did on several occasions to me. DOCUMENT EVERYTHING! I have had to leave my truck there on numerous occasions (over 7 times for multiple days on several) when all it should have taken were 2-3 visits at most. These were not huge mechanical issues...it wasn't that complicated if they did the job right. This entire experience has been very frustrating and I will NEVER be back to Krieger Ford again! There are still outstanding issues with their work which I will be bringing to another repair facility. They are thoroughly INCOMPETENT and LACK INTEGRITY. more

Car service that knows how to diagnose 8/15/2006

The Check Engine light was on in my car, so I brought it in to a service place down the street. They charged me $300 and didn't fix the problem, and wanted to charge me another $1700. I decided to go for a second opinion, so went to another mechanic. They couldn't figure out what was wrong with my car. I took it to this Ford dealer's service center, and they had my car diagnosed in just a few hours (my car had already been in 5 times between the other two places), fixed only a few hours after that, and I saved almost $1500 (and a misdiagnosis) by using the dealer's service over that of a private shop. My car is back to running normal for much less than I thought I'd have to spend...especially since I had taken it to the dealer! Pros: fast, accurate, friendly Cons: Distance from downtown more
