I used to live in Myrtle Beach, Fl before moving back here in 2005 and been in several tattoo shops in town since. Krazy Kats Tattoo on Independence is the best tattoo/piercing place I've ever been to. Jim & Tee are such a great team and they have such awesome personalities. It's hard to find those who are good at what they do, love their jobs and the people. Have I mentioned that they're also very professional and skillful? Yes, I'll come back and would recommend all my friends too. Pros: customer service, great skill, friendly Cons: None!! more

Doug is awesome 3/25/2008

I have the most beautiful dragonflies flying around ivy up my foot and around my ankle. More than I asked for. I could not be happier. My daughter went and had one done after that and now my other daughter is having one done. more

Worth the drive if you don't live in Clayton 5/29/2007

This place is definitely ""old school"" -- when tatooing was an art form. Doug is an incredibly talented artist. He's been on Monster Garage twice with his first love of hot rods. He made the ""painful chair time"" go by relatively quickly. And the final product is beautiful ... clean lines, more than I hoped for. My husband loves my tat even more than I do. Reasonable pricing, clean facility, ect. If you go somewhere else, you've made a mistake. Pros: Cost, clean, true artist Cons: Absolutely None! more

Chech em' out, a Good shop. 4/22/2007

I told Doug the design idea I was looking for. he designed and drew a tattoo which was totally better than what I had expected to see.. the tattoo came out totally awesome. I would never go to anyone else. Im hooked. I love the tattoo and his shop is totally cool with all the nostaglia he has for you to look at. Pros: Nice ""tattoo"" shop. Nice work. very pleased more

Best Tatoo shop EVER 12/15/2006

My name is Lisa Upshaw and Doug did my lower back piece for me in mid 2000. It was the BEST experience I ever had as far as Tatoo's!! He also did both of my husband Jason's arm sleeves as well as his chest. We lived in Fayetteville at the time and WANTED no one else to do our tatoo's so we drove almost 2 hours to have Doug do it. Doug is a professional and funny!! If we hadn't moved to Florida I would have let him tatoo my arms like he wanted!! GO DOUG and stay Rock-a-billy :) more

CHECK THEM OUT 10/18/2006

Just moved here and was reccomended to KrazyKat from a friend. These guys are fantastic! Doug drew exactly what I wanted and put it down perfect. (4 hours) I am very pleased with the quality and the effort he put into my tattoo. If you want a great tattoo, go see these people. You will be pleased. Super nice atmosphere and clean. Not your typical street shop. prices are VERY reasonable. Pros: Very professional and personable. Had a very good experience!!!! more

HAD DOUG DO A CUSTOM PIN-UP GIRL ON MY LEG AND IT CAME OUT AWESOME. HE ALWAYS PUTS THAT LITTLE EXTRA IN HIS TATTOOS THAT MAKE THEM STAND OUT FROM THE REST. HE MADE MY IDEA A BEAUTIFUL WORK OF ART. I went to Krazy Kat for a tattoo. He was reccomended by a freind and Im very pleased. I had a backpeice of a samuri warrior in black and grey done by Doug and it came out beautiful. The shop is very nice and clean and he was very professional and courtious. I highly reccomend him for your next tattoo. Pros: Great artist and very professional . NICE JOB!!! more

Had an idea and explained it to Doug and he made my idea a reality. Did a beautiful old school eagle on my chest. Came out beautiful. Thumbs Up!! Highly reccomend this shop. A friend told me that I should go to Doug at Krazy Kats for getting my eyebrow pierced. I went in there, he told me what I needed to know, we did it and Doug being so calm just helped me to be calm too, so I didn't freak out! I'm getting ready to go back and get an industrial and my nose peirced! more

after getting my first one ,i was cautious, but seeing how beautiful it came out i am hooked. The artists there were very helpful ,personable and creative. Iam now in the process of getting a sleeve done. Doug and Kris are excellent artists and do excellent work. Very professional and talent people.
