A DEFINITE NO!!!! Had a bad experience years ago and decided to give another chance due to convenience. There was NOTHING convenient about my trip...let's say THREE trips for the same thing. They have no respect for people or their time or their needs. And the owner just wants to hide instead of addressing his customer's needs. They put the WRONG tires on my friend's car and couldn't get my tires right, so I had to take it elsewhere to get it done right. No regard for my time or my safety. Customer service leaves VERY MUCH to be desired. This place is the absolute worst all around....RUN FAR AND RUN FAST from Kovac's. Should have gone to Family Tire like everyone had told me to do. more

Been coming here for years but things have changed.\r Make sure you check prices on parts as the last time I went, (last week of July 2012) they charged me DOUBLE retail. I would given them 4 stars in 2009-2010 but now in 2012 I strongly recommend going elsewhere as their prices for everything have gone through the roof! more

They did a great job on my rear end but when they went to replace the rack and pinion they failed to replace the pressure hose connected to it. AAAnd they were suppose to fix the windshield container and hose but failed to pin/tie the hose up properly, so of course it rubbed on my tire and created a hole in the hose..so when I went to do an oil change I found all these mistakes and brought it back in and they didn't even apologize or give me a deal to fix what they had failed to do in the first place! Plus they treat me like I'm stupid and know nothing about cars b/c I'm a female...ummm HELLO IDIOTS I went to school for automotive tech...surprise surprise...too bad they didn't google me b4 the screwed with me... more

""Not so expert"" mechanics 2/5/2012

Unless you are buying tires, I would not go here for automotive work. I have gone here for years, but the latest time I took my car in for a major tuneup of ~$400, and when I picked it up, I could not believe how bad it sounded and idled roughly. I turned around, went back, and they said yeah, ""we think"" one of the pistons is stuck, but ""it should start working with more driving"". I took it to a muffler shop right after, and Kovac had managed to break my exhaust back by the catalytic converter, causing part of the noise, and also broke part of the side panel below the passenger door, probably both from putting it up and down on the hydraulic lift because they couldn't figure out what was wrong. Anyway, I asked a mechanic friend to take a look, and 2 wires were crossed which he fixed in 10 minutes, eliminating the remaining noise and shake. Anyway, this is the end of my $$$ going to Kovac. more

Kovac automotive repair shop in Davie, Florida 4/6/2011

Never have taken the time to write a review but this place is worth it. If I would have taken my 2004 Sienna to the dealer (as I usually do) I would have surely left with new brakes and a hefty bill. To my shock, Rick explained to me that the occasional brake noise I am hearing is normal on an aging vehicle and I have about 20,000 more miles to go before I need work on them. This business is just what my neighbor who referred me said it was-very, very, honest. Thanks Rick; you have 2 new customers that will be seeing you for all our car repairs. more

One and only tire shop for me... 4/4/2011

I have been going to Kovac Automotive since 1993 and they continue to impress. I just feel very confident every time I call on these guys to fix my car that I will be treated promtly and courteously and most importantly that they seem to always resolve whatever car issue I have PROPERLY and at a REASONABLE price. That's pretty much what I think most of us are looking for in a repair shop so with that I highly recommend Kovac Goodyear Automotive. PS: Thanks Joe and Rick!!! more

My Car Doctor 9/19/2010

I am a car girl, and I have to tell you that this is the best place to have your car serviced and assessed for maximum performance...it is like dropping your vehicle to a day spa. They even have pick up and drop off valet services. The management and staff are very detailed and honest business people. \r \r I have been going there for 5 years and would recommend it to everyone. The best car doctors in Broward! more

Head the other way! 9/16/2009

was told needed many parts that i later found out were not needed, i had joe kovac the owner lie direct to my face on multiple occasions concerning my car and what they needed to do with it, take the warning and go else where! Pros: many friendly, knowledgable people. Cons: parking is tough! more

Go somewhere else 4/8/2008

I recently went to Kovac Automotive. I highly recommend that no one go there. They are overpriced and I had some very negative experiences when I was there. If you do choose to go here, be prepared to pay for mutiple jobs and multiple trips to fix your problem. They are not good at fixing the problem initally and it appears that they use more of a guess and check apporach to fixing a vehicle. Once again I highly recommend that no one go to Kovac Automotive. Pros: Nice People Cons: Over Priced & Not Good Work more
