Kopps is a 'burger joint' with awesome custard. An assembly line for burgers the way you want it! The food isn't spectacularly great, but for fast food, it's good. But it's the CUSTARD man!! That's why you go. And it's the custard that hooks you onto the burgers. After you go there a few times for custard only, you start realizing that they serve food and find yourself eating the burgers first and topping it off with custard for dessert! This is the most clean and sanitary restaurant I have ever gone to NATIONWIDE. The prices are a little bit higher than their competitors, but the outstanding quality, cleanliness, hospitality, organization, and service you receive are nothing short of incredible. This is a must for all family members. You will always receive a smile from the team that takes your order, creates your meal, and serves it with utmost pride. Can you handle a ton-burger? 8/14/2002

Honestly, the best burger I've ever had...with the signature pickle on the top of the bun. How could anyone not like a burger that's the size of their head!?! I used to live in WI, but now live in Maine. Every year when I go back, I HAVE to go to Kopps as soon as I leave the airport...then go back throughout the visit. Pros: clean, fast service, the custard!! more

Absolutely, w/o a doubt, positively, the best & smootheset custard out there. A different flavor for every day of the month. Special flavors (in season) and oh, did I mention the best grilled cheese sandwiches, and excellent mouth watering burgers, too! And that's only the beginning folks! The American Way 8/8/2002

American culture has different needs than others. We never quite cought on to the soccor craze, nor Great Britain's tea obsession. But there is one thing that we couldn't live without, fast food restaurants. When we want a quality burger in Milwaukee, it's not McDonalds that we go to (though i do frequent the place for old times sake-reminds me of my youth) we go to Kopp's. It's there that I can get a burger so large that i have to hold it with two hands. Toasted bun, any toppings I want, not to mention a good cup of custard to go with it-but that's another review. So I'm just saying, if you want the real thing, that tastes so good it makes you wish you could actually finish it in one sitting, you better do it the American way (big) and go for a Kopp's burger! more

Having spent seven summers in Milwaukee, I consider myself a fan of the area, the great people, Summerfest, Lake Michigan, the art and culture and of course the great food. There seems to be an unfounded opinion that Milwaukee isn't a destination spot. I'm fortunate to live in a great area in Arizona, and have travelled all over the world. Wisconsin is a treasure just waiting to be discovered by adventurous food lovers. I love Kopp's...absolutely the best flavors, creamy consistency with no weird aftertaste that some frozen custards have. It is so clean and service is friendly and quick. I love burgers and theirs is flavorful, hot and the grilled onions add that flavor that's missing in other burgers. Pros: quality product, good service, clean Cons: no seating inside, crowded more

Kopp's have some of the largest burgers I've ever seen. I can never finish one. They also have some of the best fresh frozen custard I've ever tasted. The prices are great. more

Lot's of ice cream, and portions are big. Kid size and giant size, equally delicious and has some indoor seating but lot's of outdoor. It is just Kopp's. more

Other than it being very busy a lot of the time Kopp's is the best place for a good burger in Milwuakee! For the burgers and custard there it's well worth the wait in line. It's great to eat outside in the summer! more

I've been going to Kopp's for years now and I have never tasted better custard or had a better hamburger in Milwaukee. The place is usually packed with people, but even then you will get your food in 20 minutes or less. It is definitely worth the wait. The staff is friendly and always ready to talk to a customer with a concern no matter how busy. Pros: Inexpensive, Great Taste, Variety Cons: Often Crowded, Parking, No Indoor Seating more

Nobody makes it better. Kopps is always coming up with new flavor concoctions that will knock your socks off. Definitely, not your run of the mill custard--truly gourmet at an affordable price. Not like some places that just mix stuff in with their vanilla--Koly makes it an art and a passion! more

Take 30% Share of $300Billion'fast food' 7/26/2002

Look, if Kopps wanted they could take at least 1/3 of the market share of fast food if they just franchised. Why don't they want to? Starting with the best burgers, everyone forgets the best grilled cheese that is cheaper than any you can find at $1.50. No one has mentioned that Kopps also has Sprecher Root Beer(the best!) on tap here as well. Then I get to the custard. As you can see everyone from coast to coast wants Kopps.
