Kona's makes really, really good sandwiches. They are very generous with their portions and the prices are really cheap (around $3 for a foot-long sandwich). The taste of the sandwich beats Subway any day. The only reason that I am only giving a "good" rating instead of a higher one is that they really lack good hygiene. The same person that handles the money makes the sandwiches without washing their hands. There have also been times that I have gone and seen a worker making sandwiches with an open wound on their hand. After that, I haven't been back. I know a couple of people who have gotten sick from eating at Kona's and I can't help but wonder if it is for lack of hygiene. I have heard recently that they have improved the hygiene, so if that is the case, I would definitely go back because the sandwiches are excellent.
