Good: Great location - convenient to everything. One of the least expensive places to stay on the island. Huge pool, which is special because most of the smaller motels on the island are not allowed to have a pool. The grounds are lush and beautiful and the Sanibel River is at the back of the property, so you can fish or kayak. Also, you can get a room with a kitchen so you can get by really cheap.. Bad: Nothing. Improvements: I was told the motel just sold so there is a new owner and a new manager - they have big plans. I hope they return the Kona Kai to it's fab tiki roots..
