We recently rented from Kolby, what a grave mistake! I wish I had gone to this site to read the reviews prior to renting.\r
I am a business owner myself so I understand how to treat clients and more importantly, supply them with a product and service that they expect. We rented numerous items from Kolby for a fundraiser which all proceeds went to the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at Woman and Infants Hospital so needless to say this was a very important event!\r
First, they showed up 45minutes late. Next we were misinformed. We were told it would take ten minutes to set up.ha! More like an hour and still the incompetant staff did not know how to set up the swashbuckler kid's throw. We had to set it up. \r
Next, they left us with a dirty cotton candy machine that WE had to wash prior to use. Our main attraction, the dunk tank, was broken. They tried to rectify it by calling the owner, Mark and he did not have an answer, so we took it upon our selves to go to homedepot and purchase a simple plug for it to hold the water. duh! \r
The bounce house with slide was not set up correctly so we had to adjust it but what you may not realize is that during all these blunders we have a fundraiser taking place where people are paying money for a service and we look foolish! We had to deflate the house and re-vecro the top, this takes up alot of time.\r
I understand things can go wrong but when I called the manger Dave, all he would compensate is the dunk tank. Now understand, I am not looking for a free ride but when all these mishaps I explained above happen, under the circumstances, shouldn't one get compensated alittle more. What ever happened to ""The customer is always Right!"" \r
All I got was a defensive owner that gave me an attitude and told me he would take me to small claims court.
