I joined the Frisco location of Koko Fit Club in July 2011. I was initially very reluctant to sign a one year contract. My goal was to lose weight and Chase, the employee that conducted my fit test guaranteed I would see results and that if I didn't they would work with me until I do. I have been working out regularly since July 2011 on average 2 - 3 times a week at Koko Fit Club. In the interim - when I have not seen results I have asked the employees at the location about why I have not seen any results and what can be done about the program to modify it so that I can see results. I have repeatedly been told on no less than 3 occasions that I just have to continue with my program. After having done this program for more than 6 months - I have not seen any weight loss or gain in muscle - my clothes do not fit any better. In addition, I have been counting calories and watching my diet. My frustration with not having seen results prompted me to contact the manager Jarret Gonzales on January 4, 2012. I informed him that I have not seen results and would therefore like to cancel my membership. He tried to convince me of all the results I have achieved based on the chart of ""strength gains"". I told him that I am not seeing results and he said ""you're obviously replacing muscle with something"" I told him I would like to cancel it and he told me the cancellation would cost $226. I asked to speak to the owner. I was told that they "" MIGHT have the time to speak to me this afternoon"". I threatened to take this matter up with the BBB and Texas Attorney General and hung up the phone. Jenee Harris, the owner, called me within 15 minutes. Without hearing my side of the story - she tried to sell me on how wonderful their program and what I needed to do. Further she accused me of lying about my calorie consumption. When I asked her why the program mainly only had upper body work she asked me again which program you I was on, I told her I was on the weight loss program, she asked how much weight I wanted to lose and when I told her it was 10 to 15 lbs she admitted that the program that I had been put on for the last 6 months was INCORRECT. I became livid - I had just wasted 6 months trying to loose weight on a program that was supposedly ""designed especially for me"". She even went as far as saying that ""you must be the only person in the planet that cannot genetically lose weight"". I am very upset at their behavior. Their customer service is horrible. They seem to be trained to blame the person. Their whole program is computerized, there is definitely something to be said to have a person that cares to turn to. This program does not even compare to a personal trainer. This is deceptive practice. They promised results when I signed up. I asked for help when the program was not working for me. When I told them that I had not seen results and said I wanted to cancel. They said that no one can guarantee any results - not even a personal trainer. Please read some of the reviews that have been posted online about them. This seems to be the way they conduct business with a lot of customers.
