The other day, my mother and father were visiting helping us get set up in our new house. After a day of painting in the kitchen, we were finally to the fun part-- Decorating! My mother and I ventured out to many stores- national chains, boutiques, antique stores, you name it and we coudn't find ANYTHING for the eating area wall. I wanted something specific, but I couldn't quite pinpoint exactly what.
Then, that night we were out eating dinner and decided to stop into the local Kohl's. I'd been there before and found it slightly disorganized. They are always running a sale, and people are always messing up the merchandise. I've never been there when a crowd has, but they must get lots of customers, cause it's always a mess.
Anyhow, we went over to the home decor section which is fairly large and mostly seasonal. They do stock a fair amount of clocks, wall decor, and pictures.
After not having any luck for a long time, we finally found TWO perfect pictures that would give the eat-in area of my kitchen a nice formal look. I was ready to cough up some serious money for the pictures and they ended up being -- 38 dollars TOTAL-- for two LARGE, nicely framed formal prints. It was great!
