Knocky's Liquor

I'd like to preface this entry with a bit of sadness. I've been frequenting Knocky's since I turned 21 (10+ years at this point) and before that, my dad had been a loyal customer, as well. I've maintained a loyalty with this store that was fueled with a mutual respect between myself and the employees there. It wasn't about excellent customer service or a wide selection of crappy artisan crap that no one's cared much for up until now. I know it's been taken over, things change, but I just wasn't expecting it to be so drastic or downhill. more

I just want to tell everyone about an experience I had last night and ask you to avoid Nall Hills Liquor (formerly Knocky's Liquor) at 9541 Nall Avenue Overland Park, KS. Last night I walked in, as I have almost every weekend for the past 4-5 years, and was disrespected by an employee. I don't know how long he has worked there but I didn't recognize him and I recognize most of the employees there and they recognize me. He very rudely asked me to leave and wrongly called me a thief. He claimed to have caught me trying to steal in the past. It takes a lot to make me mad, but this guy found a way to do it. I have never been so disrespected in my life. I'm not mad about having to go to a different liquor store, as there are plenty of other options. I am angry about being accused of something I did not do. If you are going to call someone a thief...you better be 100% sure you have the right person. This company has lost one of their regulars, and someone who used to recommend others go there to support this smaller, locally owned business. I will never recommend that anyone go there again. more
