When I'm en route to Raleigh, points west of, or on my way home east of Raleigh, I often stop here for a delicious meal. There are not many restaurants left that offer so many country vegetables; the list is very long. The service is excellent; in the menu (inside the front cover) the manager's note says the wait staff are there to make your experience a good one...there is a management commitment to excellent service. You are welcomed to make special requests if you have special dietary needs.
The food is always great. They sell Angus beef; their seafood is outstanding, of course the BBQ (sliced or chopped) is excellent. For a seafood and BBQ restaurant, it's noteworthy that their steaks are the best to be had. It's a joy to have a steak AND a selection of vegetables, not the usual salad, baked potato or fries offering.
This is one of my favorite places to take someone to eat. Folks are usually amazed that such a great restaurant sits quietly in Knightdale. I had a guest from England and took him there; the wait staff really entertained him... they were really sweet about his Welsh accent and offered him some tasting samples of the vegetables that are not available in England. He still talks about it!
Tonight I am taking a friend for his birthday.
I am a long-time patron; I loved this restaurant just as much when it was in the small building. This is definitely a restaurant you should try. (The restaurant also has a takeout service with a separate entrance out back.)
We are lucky to have Knightdale Seafood and Barbecue.
