If you want to experience the worst nightmare of your life, all you have to do is engage Klutts Property Management for any level of service. I simply cannot express how lousy and unprofessional this business is. From the overall attitude of the employees and management, to the countless lies and deceptions, you can count on shaking hands with the devil if you choose to do business with these people! I made probably the worst mistake of my life and hired Klutts to manage a few properties that I owned in Charlotte, NC. Right from the beginning I noticed a lack of follow through. It was not more than a week when I caught them in a blatant lie. I only wish I knew what was to come. It took an average of nearly two months to receive my rents. I then came to find out that the kind tenants I had occupying my properties were completely being neglected! I would consistently follow up with Klutts to see how things were going. Derek Dawson, assured me that he was right on top of things and all was well. Well, Derek Dawson is a liar. I came to find out that there were more than a dozen combined problems between my properties that had not and were not handled as Klutts was supposed to do. I had hired them to manage these properties, and they did everything but that! I spoke to the owner Jay Klutts. He was amazingly combative and had zero intention of taking any responsibility for his companies negligence. When I mentioned the word ""lawsuit"" his exact words were ""bring it on"" he has numerous lawyers on retainer and he's ready to litigate! Can you believe this is how he would talk to one of his customers? I was absolutely flabbergasted by his arrogance and attitude. I truly felt I was living the worst nightmare of my life! Between Jay Klutts and Derek Dawson, I think one is satan and the one is the anti-christ! they literally put me through a living hell. The worst part is that all of this happened as I was loosing my husband to cancer, and my mother passed away. All I can say is that these guys are heartless scam artists. All they see when they look at you, whether your a property owner or tenant is dollar signs! After speaking with my tenants I could not believe the experience they had to endure with Klutts. These were paying customers, going without basic life necessities for months on end! not to mention the children who had to endure their negligence! I plead with anyone who is planning on doing business with Klutts to PLEASE AND STRONGLY RECONSIDER! THESE GUYS WILL BECOME YOUR WORST NIGHTMARE!!!!!!!!!! I hope this helps anyone avoid the mess I went through!!!!! more

If I had known that I would have to babysit my property management company this much I would have managed my house myself. Honestly, I find it hard to believe that this company is still in business with the work ethic that I have observed over the past year from employees from top to bottom. While some employees may have seemed to be working hard, I think it is merely them spinning their wheels, as very little is ever accomplished. I feel that it reflects very poorly on the mid-to-upper management in the company assuming that those levels actually exist. Instead of relieving the burden of managing the rental of my property, I have added all new ones with trying to deal with these individuals and that is in fact how they operate--as individuals. I am trying to think of a word that would have the opposite meaning of synergy-- ah yes... ""Klutts."" more
