My husband has been building classic customs and restos (mostly early Corvettes) for nearly 40 years for referral clients, only - so I know how the system works. After much research, we brought her to Kline for the engine, tranny, etc. They did excellent work and have an excellent warranty! Roger or Dave will let you know what seems to be the problem based on what you tell them, and will fix what you ask for. If there's something else happening, they'll let you know and it's up to you - they don't just fix-and-bill. It can happen that you have to get something tweaked when you get a new engine, tranny, or any major or minor component - no matter the year of the car. A mechanic is still dependent on the parts he or she is given, and rarely parts will fail. That's where the excellent warranty comes in. We had one return trip, and it wasn't because of their work - it was a part that failed. They were responsive, accommodating, and it was fixed in as quickly as possible.\r
