Kitty's Restaurant & Lounge

I have gone to Kitty's qquite a few times in the past couple years, and the last time wasn't such a great experience. Then, my cousin suggested going again on double dates...so we did. We went last night (3/25/11), and I promise to NEVER EVER go back!!! We were seated on the bar side...everything was going great..food was ordered..drinks were on the table..and then I heard my cousin making a muffled shrieking noise...I turned to look at what she was shrieking at...and along the woodwork on the wall was a cockroach. I had never seen one before, so we called the waitress over and her jaw dropped and she ran to get the manager. The manager came over, offered us a new booth on the restaurant side..and told us it was a ""stink bug."" We moved to the new booth on the other side...and I had absolutely no appetite left, as did the others. When we got our check, my husband asked for something to be done because of the inconveinience. They were not too thrilled with this request, and said ""why should we remove something from the bill, that bug could have flew in from anywhere"" but from the looks of this creature...he's been living there for quite sometime! This place is dirty...and never ever again will I go there! YUCK!\r \r By the way...when I got home and googled a stink bug...looked nothing AT ALL like the picture I saw...when we googled cockroach...the first image that came up, is what we saw. 100%! I have been going to Kitty's since I was around 7 or 8 years old..I am now 38 and the food is still as good as ever! The salad with the house dressing is to die for! I have been celebrating all of the big events of my life with a dinner at Kitty's. The wait staff has been working there forever. My parents go once a week and have had the same waiter for years. The food is delicious...the portions large and the wait staff is fast and efficient. The prices can be a bit high but the quality is astounding! Pros: food, wait staff, portions Cons: price more

I used to go to Kitty's 4-5 times a week, over the past year the service has really declined. Had a particularly bad experience Labor Day, sent them a letter...no response! Food didn't come out together, hot food was cold, waitress never came over to ask if I needed another drink. Took an hour and a half to order a sandwich, get served, and receive the bill!!!! There are a lot better resteraunts in the area. Cons: service, portions to big, prices to high more
