Kitty Carter's Dance Factory

My daughter has been dancing with KCDF for three years now. This is our first year going to conventions and wow what an experience it has been. Kitty has earned more respect from me than I thought would ever happen. Some of these other dance studios really do not respect their young dancers... I have seen young 5-10yr olds dressing like they are about to pole dance... But Kitty doesn't allow such frivolous behaviors. Her girls are appropriately dressed and always covered when walking in the halls. Kitty respects her dancers and for this I am overly thankful! I love the way she treats my daughter and she always pushes the girls even if they are on different levels, she pushes them so that they advance through the year. I know that she has second generations walking through her doors to take classes and that shows how much others love her as well! I (not being a dancer) am thrilled to see how my daughter is blossoming into a very well rounded dancer with a lot of stage confidence. I coundn't be happier with choosing KCDF for my daughter. more

ive been looking at dance stuios to go to and when i foud kcdf i fell in love with the dancing and ive been there for 2 years and there making me feel like family and like and a profissional dancer and i am 10. so all you parents i recemend you take your kids there and give it a try. im an competitive dancer . kitty wants you to have good grades in school and in dancde ps no greades in dance Pros: dance Cons: no bad things more

Kitty is a wonderful teacher, granted she is a little harsh, but that's who she is. She doesn't sugar coat things all the time but she is a great teacher and there is a lot to be learned from her! I would send my little ones there withought a doubt! more

(Responding to the poster above) Kitty Carter is one of the best dance teachers in Dallas! Believe me, she is not as harsh with her young students as she is with the professional adult dancers you see her with on TV. I love Miss Kitty, and am definitely sending my daughter to her one day! more

Distasteful. Condescending. Uneccesary roughness. These describe KCDF. I would never send my daughter to this studio after witnessing the debaucle that is Kitty Carter on one of the Cowboys Cheerleaders Making the Squad episodes. I couldn't subject my daughter to the 'hot mess' that is Kitty Carter. It seems she is out of control with an ego that comes from who knows where. There is never any excuse to belittle anybody, much less beautiful and talented young women. There are plenty of other studios that offer more positive critiques in a less humilating environment. Parents beware! Pros: She has several girls that have danced for the Cowboys (more b/c of their talent, not hers) Cons: Bad, negative vibe. Scary location (by a shady looking washateria) more
