I have been coming to the car wash for over 15 years! This is one of the last and best self-service car washes in Atlanta - also a good place to wash my Harley-Davidson bike. more

I recommend Kirkwood Car Wash. 2/21/2013

I go there quite often. I like the cleanliness of the place. The machines are always functioning and the owner, when he's around, is always helpful. I've been going to them since they opened, I think around eight or nine years ago. more

Great, locally owned place to wash your car. 2/21/2013

Kirkwood Car Wash is clean. Their equipment is good, and the location is close by. My car comes out pretty clean each time. I run into Stuart, the owner, from time to time, and he's always friendly. It's just a local, family-owned business that I feel good about going to. more

Super Great Car Wash!! 4/9/2011

just left the Kirkwood Carwash and had a super experience, actually I always receive great service at this Carwash. It is always clean and well maintained . The owner is always available with helpful hints and tips. I have never had a problem with any of the machines and mys car looks great every time I actually have been visiting this landmark Carwash for at least 10 years without issue. Hope it will be around for a very long time. more

Machines never work 11/27/2010

By the time you lose the money at the car wash and make it through all of the bums, you might as well have gone to the Cactus and had someone do it for you. more

Great Car Wash 5/10/2010

I read about this car wash on Decatur News Online. Even though it was raining, my car was a mess, so I headed over to give it a deep clean. It was a great experience. Super easy, cheap and maybe even a little fun. I met the owner while I was there. I feel great supporting a local business. Kirkwood is cool. Kirkwood Car Wash is cool. A clean car is cool. Excellent car wash with helpful attendant. 2/21/2010

This is an excellent self-serve car wash. The facility is kept up well. The sprayer has plenty of pressure and the brush is generous with the foam. The attendant on duty when I've been there (who I think might also be the owner) is helpful and actually had good advice about the most effective and efficient way to use the machine in order to get a thorough wash in minimal time. Kirkwood is an up and coming neighborhood, and this car wash is an excellent part of the business district there. Pros: Plenty of time per token more

Awful Car Wash 2/3/2010

I have had trouble with this car wash on numerous occasions. I am all about supporting the neighborhood and live in Kirkwood but...this afternoon I went to wash my car and after pulling into a stall realized that I had driven through a bed of nails, screws and other debris that someone had obviously dumped. There was a sign that an attendant was on duty but no one was around. The last time I was there the attendant poor mouthed his financial situation and hinted for money. I had to aggressively tell him to leave me a lone or I would call the police. This latest incident with the nails is the final straw for me. The cost and low amount of time to wash a vehicle is a minus as well. I will not be back unless it is to track down the owner because of flat tires. That I am in the process of exploring. Cons: Cost, Time for Washing, Nails everywhere, Approached for $$ more

Losing Money at the Car Wash 5/11/2009

I have tried to use the vacuum cleaners at this car wash and repeatedly have problems. I've lost tokens and quarters as the machines have no suction. There is no one around to ask about this problem and the contact number displayed on the building is disconnected. more

Good, economical place to wash your car 4/29/2009

I go to Kirkwood Car Wash all the time. Even met the owner, who is often there making sure you're having a good experience. All the equipment (soft foamy brush, high pressure soap and rinse, was, vacuum, etc.) works well, and the place is well kept, clean. And, it costs about half what an automatic wash would. I also dig the vibe in this area. It's next to the new (still under construction ) fire station. And the rest of the Kirkwood business district has really developed into a nice little area with new shops. Pros: Clean, dependable, neighborhood feel more

Excellent Car Wash 4/17/2009

I have been to Kirkwood Car Wash twice now and have been pleasantly surprised both times. Mostly because the owner has been their both times and has personally come over to ask me about my experience. The vaccum works extremely well (very good suction), the brush is super soft (not scratchy plastic), the power washer strong, and overall the place is clean and safe (there has also been an attendant there both times).
