Ok, I've had Kung Pao Chicken at about every decent place in all San Diego. Kips is by far the best I've ever had. It makes it very hard to eat it anyplace else. I try and eat there once a week! Pros: Awesome food, great sushi!! Cons: It's in El Cajon so be careful not to trip over the homeless people more

Our family enjoys going here at least once a week. Japanese and chinese menus. Sushi is pretty decent and they have a very decent wine selection. If you are a regular, the staff treats you very nice. The prices are good and the food quality is great. We enjoy getting a window booth seat to watch the "freak show" going in and out of the dive bar next door. Pros: Good food, good wine, good show Cons: central El Cajon is always an adventure more

This restaurant has been in town since the 70's. For people who have lived here a while all know this place and love it! Lunch is the best time to go as the portions are very generous and the prices much more reasonable than dinner. Their Plum Wine is a wonderful experience. MUST try California Golden Nuggets, tempra battered, deep fried california rolls. Lines are long at night and not the most impressive interior. Great wine selection. They have a great meal for two at reasonable price. Pros: Great food; good prices Cons: long lines; very strip mall interior. more
