My girlfriend and I live closebut hadn't heard of this English pub. The food was great and portions were ample. The owner served us, and was very amicable and willing to explain how he prepared the dishes and what went in them. The chicken curry was different but tasted great, with almonds and fried pineapple in it. The butty sandwich had english cured bacon (think canadian bacon) with grilled mushrooms and onions. The fries were good and of course came with malt vinegar, but he also provoded ketchup since he knows it's a common companion with fries in the states. We like to try out all sorts of food and this place was very enjoyable, we will return.
