Kings Books, in the Stadium district, is a great used book store with some new releases as well. This book store has the customary catacombs of bookshelves you'd expect in a good used book store, as well as a comfortable cat or two. It usually displays local artwork in the front counter, and has information about upcoming events. more

New, used and rare books in a cozy setting 8/23/2005

King's is a nice, locally owned bookstore that does what bookstores are supposed to do: support readers and writers. In addition to carrying an impressive selection of books, the store hosts readings, author appearances, and special events like their Harry Potter release party and Banned Books Week. Be on the lookout for King's grey cat Harriett. more

Good browsing bookstore 8/19/2005

Sometimes it's a bonus when a store is small enough to browse, even if that means a smaller selection. This is definitely true of King's Books. Not a huge store, but just the right size to look around without growing overwhelmed. Good selection across the genres, and I think they store enough stuff off-site that there's a lot of variety instead of 500 copies of the same book on the shelves. And of course you have to love any store that has a cat. Great place to visit! more

Kings Books is a cute little Bookstore but has a wonderful selection of new and used books. Their used books are in great condition and you can save some money by buying a used book. If you love cats you will love this bookstore even more because their kittys like to get some attention for you. The staff is great too and are able to help you find just about any book. more
