While small, Hyde Park Produce offers a selection of fresh vegetables, fruit, and herbs. In the back of the store is deli that offers a variety of prepared foods including very yummy salsa. They also have the best tortilla chips. In the dairy section, there is a selection of soy products, including flavored milk. more

Hyde Park Produce 4/26/2006

This is one of my absolute favorite businesses in Hyde Park. It's a small, independant, produce store, with a variety of other staple grocey items. The price-to-quality ratio on their produce is excellent, and their selection is surprisingly good given their small size. You aren't going to find everything you need here, but their stock is consistent. If it's there one week, it's pretty much going to be there the next, unlike certain cooperative grocery stores that will remain nameless. I always go to Hyde Park Produce first and then fill in the gaps at other places. What they do have, they do well, and I can often do all my shopping there. more

Great produce market 3/18/2006

I love this produce market. It reminds me of what Stanley's on Elston used to be like before the parking lot was littered with SUV's and BMW's illegally parking in the handicapped spaces. At any rate, the store is small, the quality of the produce is good, and they have a great deli counter in the back. And I must admit, they make some of the best guacamole I've ever had. They also have some convenience items, like breads, dairy, nuts, spices and some sweets. more
