Greek food from King Gyro 7/31/2006

Out of the 3 Greek restaurants I've been able to check out in Columbus, I enjoy King Gyro the most. The sauce they use ( I believe it is tzatziki) is great. It is not watery like some places and has a great balance of the cucumber and garlicky flavor. They have courteous, good service and everything on the menu has been tasty. From the baklava to the chicken gyros, to the lamb gyros and the Greek version of chicken noodle soup- it has a lemony flavor... every thing's been delicious. more

    Owner, Yanni serves old family recipes, insuring that patrons always get the best Greek food at King Gyros. His signature dishes include lamb specialties such as Lamb Shank, Lamb Chops and Lamb Kabobs,and Baklava, Mousaka, Pastitsio, Gyro Sandwiches, Dolmades (Stuffed Grape Leaves), Spanakopita (Spinach Pie), Hummus, Avgolemono (Chicken Lemon Soup), Soulake Steak Gyro) and Rice Pudding for dessert. Daily specials include Stuffed Peppers Monday through Wednesday. Three specials are featured Thursday through Saturday, including Lamb Shank, Lamb Chops and Lamb Kabobs. Plus, all specials are accompanied by your choice of four homemade soups.
