Our first and last visit to King Cajun Crawfish was yesterday, 1/3/11 at around 4:00PM. My husband and I were the only guests. The server was pleasant and quickly took our orders. We ordered the Shrimp Po'Boy and Oyster Po'Boy fully dressed. The bread was good and the lettuce, tomato and pickle were fresh. The frying technique was good but the shrimp were rubbery and the oysters had a bad smell and were beyond mushy. We could not eat the oyster po' boy and when we advised the server she did not offer a substitute and the charge was not removed from our bill. Mind you, we did not eat 3/4 of it and then complain. My husband took a bite and put it down. I refused to taste it due to the rotten smell. The server told us the seafood they use is frozen. We also ordered coleslaw which was old but the hush puppies were delicious. The establishment is small and there are cleanliness issues. As you walk from the dining area to the bathroom you can clearly see the very small kitchen which appears to be cluttered and not exactly spic and span. The bathroom was dirty as well. Unfortunately, I wouldn't recommend this place at all and it's too bad. We were hoping for authentic, fresh and delicious Louisiana style cooking. You won?t find it here.
