My stay at Kindred 6/1/2018

Since the time I've come to Kindred, from the first day to today, I have been well taken care of. The nurses and techs and other staff have treated me kindly and made me feel like I am not in this alone. The quality of care is exceptional. I would highly recommend this hospital to anyone in need of wound care or who had a stroke or anything serious. The doctors check in on you every day and address your issues. If you go visit Kindred, make sure to stop and see the Patient Relations Rep, Miss Trisha. Everyone will go above and beyond to make sure your needs are met and you can return to society. This hospital is full of warmth and healing. I came in here at a 1 and now I'm a 4 out of 5. They thought they were going to have to take my leg off before. Now the doctor says it looks good!! more

Living in St. Louis 5/22/2018

This is a friendly place. The people are nice, caring, and they take their time with you. They helped me with wound care. The nurses are cool. Everyone does their job. It's not hectic like most hospitals. I would definitely recommend Kindred to my friends and loved ones. more

Everybody was nice to me 5/11/2018

Everybody was nice to me and treated me with respect. They helped me get my strength back. The physical therapy team are good at what they do. Occupational therapy did a great job and treated me right. I would definitely recommend this hospital. I’m going home! more

Kindred was good to me 5/10/2018

I have stayed at Kindred St. Louis for 2 1/2 weeks finishing my physical therapy, occupational therapy and nutritional therapy. I was treated with respect and welcomed like I was a VIP. When I walk through the place, everybody says hi, good to see you out walking. I never felt like I was ever bothering anyone. I have finished my therapies and I'm looking forward to going home! I would recommend this hospital. more

Trisha, the patient-relations rep, made me feel so welcome. She is so nice. I just love Melonie, the wound-care nurse. She always has a smile on her face. They have some good nurses, too. It might be a small place, but the care is over the top. more

Everybody was very nice and helpful and business-like. I'm going to miss everyone and I thank you very much. I was on a ventilator and high oxygen. They weaned me off and now I have been accepted to rehab. more

Great experience 11/20/2017

Very attentive staff, taking care of all of needs, great response time when I would call. Physical therapy did a great job helping me regain range of motion in my right arm. Wound care routinely checked on me making sure my ostomy was draining and collecting appropriately. I would recommend Kindred to someone in need of long term acute care. more

Miraculous improvement from the care received 11/17/2017

During my stay here at Kindred I have improved miraculously. I had a tracheostomy tube when I arrived and now am decannulated only requiring 2L nasal cannula. I went from being bed bound to getting up on my own. I couldn't eat and had feeding tubes in and now I am able to eat real food. The staff was always there for me, whether I had a question or if I needed help I felt secure and well cared for. The staff treated me like I was their family member. I would definitely come back to Kindred and would highly recommend Kindred Hospital to anyone in need of care. more

Great place to receive care! 11/2/2017

Wound care has been excellent in caring for my extensive needs, an the rehab staff was amazing pushing me to meet my goals. I have been hospitalized several times and Kindred by far has provided the best care yet. The doctors, nurses and therapies all collaborated very well to help me achieve these goals and get to the next step of my journey. more

I think they did a real good job here. I was able to bring the family pet which made a big difference. The location was convenient for me. Playing my wife's favorite spiritual music, plus good care made a difference. Back in the 90s I had a relative at Kindred recooperate after a bad car accident . So when my wife of 26 years needed to get better this was the place to bring her. With the excellent care we received along with the fast care when my wife first became ill we are now ready to travel to the next level. The social work people found us a place we can take the dog to visit. more

At Kindred they tell you the truth and what your options are. The Dr. spoke directly to me directly. The doctor spoke to me and I appreciate his candor and extra time. He did not rush me. The nurses listen to me and helped me. They are sticklers about preventing infection. I trust the staff they do the extras like giving me orange sherbet. more

Kindred Central West End 9/12/2017

Overall care was good. The nurses were good. They were very respectfu and checked on me every hour. The room was kept very clean. They let me bring in my radio and play my jams all day which was very nice. Food was good and I enjoyed being rounded on daily by a hospital leader. more

Kindred St. Louis 6/22/2017

My name is R.F. I have been a patient at Kindred St. Louis. It was very important to find a step up facility when I was most critical with no hope for surviving. The specialize service allowed me to to not just survive but rehabilitate to live and enjoy life. I'm looking forward to the next phase of my rehab due to the strong foundation developed at kindred. The facility worked with me and my spouse to help me be best. I wish more healthcare industries like Kindred to fill the gap between the traditional hosp and home. more

Kindred stay 5/24/2017

I had beautiful service from the nurses even though I gave them a hard time when I first got here. I thank the lord for them. The doctors were great too. It is a very clean hospital. The food could be a little better. Overall I am grateful for my stay and helping me recover to my health to allow me to go home. more
