Best

I appreciate the way they allow me to work on myself, my upper body strength, my legs, and I’m grateful for the rehab department. I’ve seen progress and I look forward to one day ...

Worst

2/5 it could be better. Everybody is different in their own way. The nurse I had today was good, she talked to me, supports me, more should be like her.

Experience 5/20/2019

Coming to Kindred Hospital, my family and I had high expectations to fully recovering. Throughout my. Months stay, I had my ups and down with my health. With the whole staff from nursing to rehab department I was able to recover. I was able to walk, eat, and breathe on my own. I would like to say thank you for all the compassion and dedication to serving my needs. It’s true what they say; you guys just don’t save lives, you change lives. Also my family and I are very grateful for all the staff for always addressing our concerns and getting answers right away. I would like to extend my gratitude to Salomi and Kim (rehab dept) for the endless patience with me. They never gave up and always motivated me to push myself and face my fears. They always made me laugh and add me realize that sometimes you just need something to smile about. Once again, thank you for helping me recover. more

Good 5/13/2019

It was good. There is nothing to complain about. I got served very well. I had some nurses that kept me laughing and thank god for them. I appreciate those nurses: Doug, Glenn, Keisha and Trevor more

Experience 4/16/2019

Experience 4/1/2019

The phlebotomist were really cool about being gentle. They tried to rotate spots when they were drawing blood, and they all were conscientious. The overall hospital is good. I like it, it’s clean. Staff is really courteous and very attentive. more

Experience 3/25/2019

It was nice. I was only there one time, but my sister’s friends were there. The one time I came, everybody was nice and friendly. They were attentive to my requests. more

Review 3/21/2019

Appreciation 2/28/2019

I appreciate the attention that they gave me as a patient. I appreciate the CNA’s, they attended me for anything I asked for. The nurses, they gave me my medicine and I appreciate that. The only thing I didn’t enjoy is there was no music here. They should have an option for music here. more

Experience 2/27/2019

We are very grateful for all the staff. My mom is very well taken care of. The receptionists very well represent Kindred on both shifts. In the morning, it is Laura, and in the evening it is Jan. The facility is very nice and clean. It is excellent overall. They have cookies and coffee for the visitors. It’s very nice! more

Good PT 2/13/2019

Kevin was great! He got me to sit up and walk. He got me to do a lot of things other therapists couldn’t do. He’s the best therapist I’ve seen. Half of the staff was good. The doctors were good. All I can say about the PT’s is they were good. Anna and Kim, everyone working with Kevin was good. Kevin got me on a chair and I didn’t want to sit up, but somehow he got me to sit down. He convinced me. I’ve never had a therapist that good. more

Experience 2/8/2019

I want to thank all of the staff for the care they have given Pat, AKA Howard. As an orphan, appreciate everyone being a family for him while he was here. I really see the difference in the short time he was here. The second day, I got to see a staff member share army stories with him and speaking the same language and establishing trust with him. He also got off the vent the second day. For him to be up and walking 12ft, is huge because he hasn’t been up for 5 months. I appreciate they were concerned with his swallowing. Every other facility was feeding him without knowing he was aspirating. You guys have another level of care, I appreciate it. I feel he’s getting educated through it. And you guys were able to tell us why he got sick in the first place. Before he was fighting the staff and it felt like he was being made sick at the ther facilities, until he got here. I want to give Kudos to ICU San Leandro Hospital as well for getting him here. more

Gabys experience 2/7/2019

My overall experience was really good. The only thing is the call light response, it takes a long time to answer, but I understand there was a lot of people here, and not enough staff, so I took that into consideration. The rehab part was terrific! They worked with me, encouraged me, gave me confidence that I could do it and it was great. They explained things to me. more

Experience 2/5/2019

When I first came, a lot of people put themselves down believing it wasn’t a real hospital, but it’s just as much a real hospital. Everyone is light, kind, and everyone is so nice. They should have more places like this. This place, I felt safe and comfortable. I needed a place like this because I couldn’t go home. I couldn’t walk before, and that takes time. Edna, when I was having a pity party, she walked in, and asked if I was crying, and she gave me a pep talk, saying I was going to be okay and that I was going to get through this. Tracy, CNA is always so cheery. Glenn, he was great, especially doing dressing changes. All three nurses calmed me down and encouraged me. There’s more people, everyone’s just wonderful! I loved Dr. Kaplan, he’s so funny! more

A Big time 5 stars 1/31/2019

Where do I start? How about the beginning. I did not make an appointment to tour the facility, but the head nurse at that time made time to tour my girls and I. We were totally impressed, how clean, open, well kept. (First Impressions are the best impressions). The staff, the RN’s, the LVN’s, the CNA’s, the RT’s and PT’s they were all open arms to my wife and I and the girls. We literally felt at home here at Kindred. There were issues that needed to be resolved, but our problem solver, Karen, and patient relations, Cheyenne, immediately stepped in with the help of Adrien and resolved immediately what needed to be resolved. Wherever you go, there is mending to be ironed out, and this staff did, hands down. Theresa, housekeeping, receptionists, amazing. We would like to name all who cared for Chris. Employees of the 3 months we were there, without each one, Chris would not be where she is now—that is transferring to Rehab. Than you team! It all comes down to taking care and treating your patient and loved ones, Kindred did that and more. I can’t thank you enough, and my daughters can’t thank you enough, and most of all, my wife Chris. more
