Kindred Hospital Philadelphia

I want to extend my gratitude to the staff at Kindred, while there are so many, I in particular would like to mention Lakeysha who took good care of me, Marion on night shift I would catch her coming in to put blanket over me so I wouldn’t be cold. The physical therapy Joe and Santos who made sure I got out of bed and Angie the nurse assistant who was so pleasant. The place is small but very nice to be once you get to know the staff. more

My brother was at this facility, I was so impressed with the care they provided to him.Everyone went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable. Louisa, Sam and LInda were amazing nurses, the p/t team Joe and Santos provided great therapy. Thank you to everyone there. more

My stay here at Kindred Hospital Philadelphia has been fantastic, no problems at all, Nurses are all so kind my personal favorites are Melania is the sweetest person ever, she goes out of her way for her patients, Shobie and Genevieve are outstanding also. Tammy from wound care is exceptional, kind and patient. The food here is wonderful and if it’s wrong they are quick to rectify the order. This hospital has been accommodating in so many ways. I will miss everyone, thank you more

Having the staff that I had really sped up my recovery; kept a watchful eye on me. Respiratory therapist Ashley and Anne Marie were great. Nurses Serena, Taylor and Brittany are all standouts. CNA Lisa is great. Physical therapy Jo, Becca and Cheryl are fun and I looked forward, All doctors were really great. I loved being here so much, I wish I didn’t have to leave. more

My wife is a patient here at kindred, the entire staff has been wonderful, Peggy Paige sold me on this place in the tour, she told me my wife was progressing even when I thought she was not. She has been a big part for me here at Kindred and always giving me hope, when it looked Grimm. The Respiratory staff was very good, they always came when I asked and always looked in on her along with the nursing staff, who were also very good. I am very pleased. more

My husband has been a patient here at Kindred Hospital Philadelphia, I would like to recognize a few people, Liz the RN, Lisa the CNA, Pamela for her thoughtfulness and hospitality and Faith the wound care Leader who was very nice, her work was impeccable and her approach was first class. This facility took better care of my husband than other facilities. I would definitely come back. more

My father is currently a patent in your ICU with multi-organ failure; requiring mechanical ventilation and hemodialysis in a desperate effort to restore him to his recent previous excellent health status. In the past two weeks I have been spending scarce time away from home patiently waiting by bedside along with my wife, my mother and all family members. All of us have had ample opportunity to observe all your staff; the nurses, respiratory therapist, pharmacy technicians, social service personnel, security staff, physical plant staff and transport workers. My entire family has been impressed with every aspect of the courtesy, care and work ethic of every one of the Kindred Hospital employees. I’m my experience, I am amazed that such a tiny facility as Kindred Hospital would impress me so much; clearly, it is only consequent to the superb team that is employed there. Foremost among all of the Kindred staff that has engendered such admiration is Dr. Allen Snyder. He has been extremely knowledgeable, highly competent and responsive to my father’s needs. Dr. Snyder definitely ranks as one of the best clinicians that I have had the pleasure to know. Besides having a comprehensive understanding of my father’s condition and quickly responding to his medical needs, he has demonstrated a superb bedside manner and has made him comfortable with the quality of care that my father is receiving from him. At this time, we are all praying that my father is able to recover from his extremely dangerous and precarious clinical status. Nonetheless, I am grateful that Dr. Snyder and the Kindred Hospital team are working hard towards ha goal more

I am the daughter of Betty, I would happily give this hospital a 5 star rating, I can’t say enough about the nursing staff, they really are wonderful, the respiratory staff is equally wonderful. I can’t say a bad word about the CNA’s my mother would smile when they came in the room which tells me she liked them. My transition here was very good, I felt very comfortable leaving my mother in the hands of the staff, they have always made me and my family feel comfortable asking as many questions as necessary. My physician, Dr. Thain was very forthcoming with answers to any issues we had. The other staff in the hospital are so friendly also, the enviornmental service department take great pride in their work, the hospital is always very clean and smells good. I would recommend it to anyone and thank you to everyone who took part in her care. Thank you to my caseworker who was also very helpful. I really hate to leave. more

My brother was here at Kindred Hospital Philadelphia we arrived in the beginning of March, my brother is special needs patients, he was treated so well here, I felt comfortable leaving him, the staff was very good to my brother,especially Chaz who went above and beyond everyday, my brother loved him. He really is a wonderful CNA. Janeal was so informative and very helpful with all my brothers needs and my requests. The nurses and respiratory staff were equally as wonderful, my brother came on full ventilator supports and the staff with all their care, got him to teach collar and talking again. The physical therapy department was wonderful as well. They got my brother talking again and we now are moving on to the next level of care. I thank everyone so much for everything. more

My mom has been a patient here since the beginning of January, I only live 5 minutes away from here, I stopped in and saw my mother all hours of the day and night along with my other siblings and children, my mom was always kept in excellent shape and you could tell she was well taken care of, this was not the case from where she came, I am so appreciative of everyone who has taken care of my mom, I wish I could keep her here until she was well to come home. But she is in need of dialysis and further care. The people are all so nice right from the door way down to the kitchen staff. They are always asking if there is anything else I can do. If only all facilities were like this. I especially want to thank the nursing and respiratory staff for doing everything and beyond for my mom. She always looks comfortable when I come in. If I could give this hospital a 100, I would, thank you very much. If for any reason I can get my mother back here I will and would for sure bring her back. more

I am a patient here at Kindred Hospital Philadelphia,getting ready to move on to another facility for additional therapy that I need. My reason for coming to this facility is for wound care, I have received outstanding care from Dave the wound care nurse and his assistant Faith, they are both outstanding in what they do, they are thorough and talk o throughout the process, being that it is very painful. They are gently in their approach and care about what they do, they ask me several time along the way if I.m ok and will give me breaks if need be. They are a true step above the rest. The physical therapy team are very good at what they do and accommodate any situation. The nursing care is very good also. The CNA’s are octopod things, my personal favorite is Chaz. The environmental people are better than average. My case worker did everything in her power to get me what I needed and place me at a place that I wanted to go to. Jeneal was very good at what she does.Most important I want to thank the kitchen for the exceptional food they service, everything was very good. more

Well I have been through a lot with my sickness going from one hospital to another. The bad shape I was in when I came to kindred, I had this track stuck to my thoart, I was so depressed and when anyone asked me how i was doing I used to cry and say I just want to go home. And they use to say just stay strong you are on your way. And today look at me no trach , I feel free. Feel better inside out, I do wish I could go home today but I am leaving for Moss Rehab. Which is bringing me one step closer to going home. So thankful to Kindred. more

My dad was in this facility twice , the care is good but the reason why i took him twice to this hospital was because of the case management department. The case worker was always so nice, professional and knowledgeable. Going through my dad illness is a tough time for us and then it's hard taking him from one facility to another but the case worker at Kindred guides us so well and feel comfortable after talking with her and making decisions for our dad. more

Nurses are very attentive, they care for their patients. Rooms are kept clean , overall the hospital has a friendly environment. My stay at this hospital was very comfortable. more

I was treated with kindness and was welcomed everyday with a smile, even from the people who were not taking care of me, like housekeeping and other staff members. They use to stop by everyday to talk to me. Dr.Spector is a wonderful doctor, I liked him and was happy that I was in his care. more

I have been in this hospital for a very long time I guess more than 3 months. I have seen really bad days as far as my health is concerned but what I have experienced here at this hospital is excellent care. I appreciate everyone for their care and taking care of me even in my lowest moments. I am far away from my family but whenever they come to visit me , they are always welcomed by the staff and there are no restrictions as to how long they can stay with me.I sometimes do get low and depressed but I have learned my way out and I know I am being well taken care of by the experienced staff members. more

Kindred hospital provided good care to me, most of the staff is very helpful and kind. They listen carefully to you and try to help you in whatever way they could. The patient advocate is very kind and helpful. I loved their salads especially the seafood and three beans salad. Overall my experience at this hospital was good. more

My experience at Kindred hospital was good. I wasn't expecting it to be as good as it turned out to be. Staff is caring and ever ready to help. The doctors were nice too. The only thing I missed during my stay in the hospital was one of my favorite Sport channel other than that I was pretty comfortable. more
