Be Wary of Inexpensive Kennels Including This One! 5/3/2007

The old saying, "you get what you pay for" is never more true with kennels. This kennel charges $16-$18 day. As kennels go, this one is "pleasant" and cleaner than average, but you are still putting your dog in a CAGE. Re: the weekends. They let them out at 6 p.m. at night for their FINAL bathroom break. Then they all go home for the night. Your pooch doesn't see a human until sometime between 7 and 9 am. The girl who answered the phone was purposely vague about the time, but do the math! Is your precious pooch used to "holding it" for 15 HOURS? It's cruel! YOU try holding it for 15 hours! You're much better off hiring an in-home pet-sitter. Yeah, it's a little more expensive, but your pet gets to stay home in his own environment, and you can tailor their visits to your pets habits. One I have used is called "Wags & Whiskers" but they only serve the area around Victory Road/Poquoson in Hampton Roads. They charge $12 per visit. If you are lucky enough to live in that are more

When I moved to Hampton Roads, I checked out several kennels to use to board my pets. By far, Kiln Creek is the cleanest and friendlyiness that I've found. Whether you're boarding your pets or using their vet service, this is a first class operation. more
