Kidz Quarterz Child Care Center

I've been trying to find a nice daycare for my son on the west shore. I find daycare reviews from other parents very helpful. As I was reading the reviews about KQ, I noticed that majority of reviews with excellent rating came all at one time, April 2009. Something doesn't seem right. As a parent, I would never provide incorrect and dishonest reviews about anything, specially a daycare. more

The daycare is not the best. The staff is not encouraged to be further educated and learn more about the job and child development. The curriculum is very basic and not very stimulating. The lunches are healthy, but the children have cereal and milk every morning and afternoon snack varies everyday and appears to be nothing but junk food. The staff members are not very attentive to the children. I was not impressed, the center is very basic and does the bare minimum it seems. I was very disappointed and will not be taking my children here. more

I've been with KQ - Mechanicsburg for 3 years. I love it. The staff is so friendly, always greeting the parents and children as they arrive. The facility is clean and toys are always sanitized. The facility has numerous activities planned throughout the year to keep it fun & interesting for the children. I've been with several other daycare facilities and none compare to KQ. I've recommended KQ to all my friends and coworkers. Pros: Staff & Activities more

When I made the decision to put my son into daycare it was with a heavy heart. I had made several appointments to see different kinds of daycares and Kidz Quarterz was first on my list. When I left I kept telling myself that was only the first daycare you have seen, you can't know already. But I knew that this was the place my son could be happy while I was at work. There was not one particular thing that made me choose Kidz Quarterz it was just the nice warm fuzzy feeling I got being there. So after a year of attending I know I made the right choice. My son is doing great and is a happy 2 year old. Me, well my heart is light and I know that, even though, he is not with me he has a family to look out for him. There are many wonderful things about Kidz Quarterz, but my favorite is whenever we come across someone with a KQ shirt on they always have a smile, a greeting, and know my son's name. kerry h. - child attends camp hill location -- when searching for daycare when my son was still an infant, i visited numerous centers in the area. my son stayed with my mom for 8 months after he was born, but i was then looking to transition him into a public daycare where he could learn socialization skills and be well prepared for that first day of kindergarten. i remember dropping him off the first day and a great caregiver, val, took him right under her wing. she tried to occupy him and gain his trust while mommy sneaked out the door with tears in her eyes. my son has successfully transitioned from the infant room to now a kangaroo (4 year olds) and truly enjoys going to his "school" on a daily basis. It is so nice to be able to take him to a daycare where we know he is safe and in great hands. They potty trained him, taught him his letters, numbers, etc. The teachers get all of the credit for developing my son into a wonderful little boy whom we love so much!! Pros: great day care more

This is a wonderful center. My son loves going . This is the place to take your child if you value consistency. Many of the teachers have been there for years. It is so nice to see teachers greeted with hugs and smiles ( tells you alot about how they are treated when you are not there) My son always comments on how nice everyone is. I think its great to see teachers interact in such a loving way to the children that are not even in their class. This is a very warm "family like" environment. My son was 10 months when my nanny quit, I was devastated. My husband and I began our search for a daycare. I thought of one that was close to my work. We made an appt. & went to visit. When we left I felt sick. Later that day we drove by Kids Quarterz and he said lets just stop in. We didn't have an appt. but the director was happy to give us a tour. The 1st thing I noticed was how clean it smelled. It was also very organized. I loved the classrooms & playground. I was thrilled when they said they had an opening. I had decided I was sending my child there even if it cost more, but as it turned out it was less. My son is now 2 and I have an 8 month there as well. I cant express enough how thrilled I am to have this daycare. The staff are great, showing much love and giving great care. I have peace of mind at work because I feel my kids are safe. I don't feel guilty for being at work because they provide a positive learning and social environment. I would not send them anywhere else. My daughter has benn going there since she was 9 months old, she is now 6. My son has been going there since he was 6 weeks old, and he is now 4. Being a single mom, and having to work full time, the staff at Kidz Quarterz have been making it possible for me to exceed in my career. With the love and care of the staff going out of their way to accomodate my ever changing schedule. My kids come home excited telling me each day what their teachers have taught them. For my daughter going to the daycare gave her a headstart in entering Kindergarten, because the staff works on pre-K curriculum. My son enjoys craft time and learning songs that enhance his development example: songs for days of the week, counting, alphabet etc. My children always come first and the staff care and understand the changes of my ever growing children from mood swings , to being ill and needing comfort. As a parent and teacher, I can truly say that the staff at Kidz Quarterz genuinely cares about the children in their care. Providing a safe and loving environment in which students are encouraged to explore and learn new things is the teachers' number one priority. Parents are always welcome to provide input or share concerns or questions, as KQ whole-heartedly supports making the parents an active part of the learning process. The director, assistant director, and owner go above and beyond to address parents' concerns. My children love Kidz Quarterz, and I wouldn't consider taking them anywhere else! Friendly, warm and safe atmosphere that makes me feel good leaving them there. Both my kids love it at KQ. The staff is friendly and caring. After a horrible experience at another 'poplular' daycare I visited a lot of daycares and eventually picked KQ. Safety is A+ and so is communication. They spend a lot of time outside (especially in the summer) which I feel is important for young kids. I only wish I had found them sooner. Pros: Lots of activites to keep them stimulated. I can't say more then enough good things about Kidz Quarterz! All 4 of my children have been enrolled in this facility and they are all well taken care of! The center is bright and beautiful but the most impressive thing is the TEACHERS! The teachers at the facility are working in this child care center because they care! Friends talk and it is very disappointing when a friend complains to me about the turnover or lack of care at their child's daycare. I recommend Kidz Quarterz immediately to friends and co workers. the center by all appearances is lovely. I am concerned that the teachers are not properly trained on the children's education and development. I'm sure the people are nice, but you can pay less for services that are above this bar set by the school. Pros: lovely physical environment Cons: unstaffed, undertrained staff more
