Kids Under Construction

My children attended here from infants to school age and then before and after school care. I am an elementary school teacher and I always felt very comfortable with leaving my children in their care. Any time I had a question or concern I was always happy with how it was dealt with. I was never ignored or felt like I had to defend my position. I always received a daily note about my child's activities, meals, and behavior. I would recommend KUC to anyone who was looking for child care. more

I, too, cannot believe the comments below. I do know that both exterior doors are on a chime and the teachers do take note on who is coming and going. The kids that teachers know they can trust are allowed to go to the bathroom by themselves, which accounts for "wandering the halls". They just repainted the building and two of the classrooms, got brand-new carpet and it looks like they are building a new office. For having so many kids in there I don't know how they manage to keep it as clean as they do. My kids absolutely LOVE going there, when I arrive to pick them up they are barely even happy to see me! They want to stay longer- amazing! more

I was extremely brown away by the bad comments about the KUC crew on West Street. I started taking my daughter there at the first of February, and she is always in the greatest moods when I pick her up. I have taken her late for breakfast a couple of days, and the staff went out of their way to make sure she had plenty of breakfast, although it was after mealtime. I really connected with the staff from the git-go, and would highly recommend this daycare to anyone. She has been in 2 other daycare facilities before, but has never been as happy as she is in KUC. Thanks guys!!!! more

Wow, I'm amazed to read these reviews. My children were there from 3-05 until 5-08, and 7-07 until 5-08 and we have nothing but righ regard for KUC and their employees. The only reason why my children are no longer there is because we moved to a different state. I always had a great relationship with the director and all the teachers. My daughter learned so much from KUC. more

When I entered here four years ago to check out if this might be good for my daughter, I immediately got the impression leaving her here would be a bad idea. I came in the front door and no one was up at the front to assist me (fine)..but I waited several minutes and no one ever came. I did, however see unassisted children wandering the halls. This seems like a serious security issue to me. A child could wander through the unlocked open door and out into the nearby street, or a stranger could come in without anyont knowing and kidnap a child. I left assured that this was not the right place for my child. more

My child attended this daycare center for 4 days before I pulled him out. The staff seemed stressed and short with the kids. The hygiene was absolutely unsatisfactory. The last day my son was there his pants were soaked through when I picked him up to leave. They watch too many movies. At times there was an inadequate staff to child ratio. Bookshelves are not secured so that children cannot knock them over.\r I did not receive daily reports or any knid of policy manual.\r I made several attempts to call the owner and left messages with no response. When I finally did speak with her, she took a very defensive attitude. And didn't seem to be able to seperate behavior issues with my child from the inadequate care given at her center. Another words it was the 2 year old's fault.\r Proceed with caution. more

located near the wal mart this is a great daycare. they have a huge staff of young energetic people to work witrh the kids. Every time I would pick up my daighter the teachers would be playing games and having as much fun as the kids did. My kid loved this daycare and cried when we had to move her to another one closer to my house. Great staff and flexible for working with the kids. more
