Got a call from Kids Support Network looking for donations. Looked up this charity on the MD Sec of State's website. According to the MD Sec of State, in 2008, this so called charity spent 99% of the money it collected on management and fund raising fees. It's a sham! Don't throw your money away. And get this, the MD Sec of State site says that they are in compliance with state requirements! Go figure. Surprised? I’m not. Some gov’t employee in Annapolis or Baltimore must be making a few bucks on the side. Hey, it’s called capitalism.
